When I think about ending songs from previous tøp albums, they always nail it so well. Trees/Truce and Goner were perfect climactic endings to the journey of their respective records, Leave the City was an amazing open-ended but hopeful final ballad that left us wanting more on Trench, and Redecorate was an amazing song that delved deeper behind the 'propaganda' of sai into the real meaning behind it - in contrast, even though I love Paladin Strait and I think it concludes Clancy really well, to me it doesn't have that sense of finality that all their other ending songs have had as well as obviously being a cliffhanger. I bet if we get a double album, the closer will be amazing (as they always are)
