That’s true, I agree with that, but lore wise, RAWFEAR can’t take place after City Walls. So I guess even if City Walls transitions into RAWFEAR… RAWFEAR still has to take place before it (assuming it’s lore. Unless it doesn’t progress the story, but…)

I usually avoid saying “trench level” because that is such a high bar. But yeah you are right. The delicious mix of the contract, the rocking riffs of Drum show and tally with || crazy synth work and more Tyler yelling || I think this time it seems like we’ve got the depth of trench (from what we’ve heard so far) and faster songwriting in tempo/beats

The production is so much more lush and layered and atmospheric than Clancy. I want to know the timeline of them making these two albums so bad.

Hear me out: Most people are assuming that Breach is all the songs that would've been added to Clancy. But Breach's production is so much more detailed and complex. It feels way more experimental and bold than Clancy. Clancy felt much simpler and safer, like it was boiled down to the bare necessities. Almost like it didn't take a very long time to make. If Breach and Clancy were made around the same time, what if Breach was made first?

What if Breach was initially the album to end the story, and there was no Clancy. Or maybe it was called Clancy or something else. Then they decided to do the whole extension thing, and needed to make some more songs. So they made extras and decided to release them first, only to then drop all the better stuff later on. Breach feels really cohesive so far in a way that Clancy did not. They seem confident about it in a way that they didn't with Clancy. Tyler seems so excited about it.

I think that Clancy was actually all the songs they were less sure about, and maybe were made last. But Breach is the stuff they knew we'd love and have been working on longer. Then they maybe even saw the reaction to Clancy and some of the nitpicks and criticisms, and maybe they too ksome of that advice and used it to tweak and perfect Breach while they were touring. That whole time, they were just letting Paul Meany cook.

I definitely think breach has much more depth than what a lot of Clancy offered. Feels completely different. We’ll see when it’s fully out but it just feels more atmospheric, similarly to trench. Clancy felt smaller in scale. I still thoroughly enjoyed Clancy though.

And I actually think that the Dema storyline was supposed to be a trilogy first ;
Blurryface, trench , and Clancy (that became breach)
But because of the pandemic they didn't want to release an album too dark , so they decided to make sai and tied it to the lore. The follow up album was supposed to release really fast after SAI since SAI wasn't supposed to have a tour. but things changed and sai had a tour and a real rollout.
During these 3 years Tyler wrote more songs , and so , had enough stuff to make 2 albums and they decided to release Clancy

I don’t think they’re going to try and cram a song into a length. They are very adamant on their songs being the lengths they need to be. They wouldn’t say “okay, let’s cram this whole song into just two minutes” they would instead write what they need to write and whatever that song length is, is how long they needed to convey that message
