I think it’s more an exhaustion from the story. They’ve been tied to DEMA, Trench, Blurryface for 10 years now. In the Zane Lowe interview after SAI, Tyler showed interest in “telling another story” after wrapping this one. I think there are more factors at play now: age, kids, burnout. As much as I love these albums, I think this story needs to finish so 1. They can have a break without feeling guilty about the story being in limbo and 2. They can move on to bigger and better things

There have been the cycles of backsliding and snapping back, he could be saying that obviously this is a big part of him, but if it is ending there has to be some personal decisions and changes that he is making and going through. That is where I think the shadow integration piece comes in to play with the end of the story.

He is also said these things on a very public platform and if he had continued in his struggles in relapse, it may feel like he breached the message with everyone. If City Walls ends in a Truce, which is defined as: a suspension of fighting especially of considerable duration by agreement of opposing forces. Then I think the hard part is if you look at the other two ways it is defined, I believe that is what intentions is about.

As a noun: a respite especially from a disagreeable or painful state or action. The ending of this story is hard personally and I truly think that they need time.

As a verb it is defined: to end with a truce. This really ties it all together in my opinion. It speaks to what I believe will be the end of City Walls, while communicating the message that may have lead to Breach. Sort of a new commitment. We are literally ending in a truce with them.

Looking at how Intentions are defined as: a process or manner of healing of incised wounds (very personal) and as a determination to act in a certain way : RESOLVE (shared). The ending is a new beginning and intentions are everything. -saveitaly

You can't expect two world tours in a row. This album was a bonus. A way to wrap up the story. Tyler and Josh have their own family now, have been going at it for 14 years non-stop together, literally never get a break whilst writing, recording, and touring songs, etc. This storyline also must be challenging for Tyler as it is chanelling his mental battle and sharing it. Respect the band, enjoy the final Dema album as we knew it would be the finale, and they won't stop making music. This is the best way to end, we should be grateful we got closure now.

you might be right but like i work on the industry and basically to my knowledge you don’t upload a song early unless you gotta push it as a single so marketing people think if they wanna use it for commercial purposes or radio stations etc, you can have a single be a song you uploaded alongside the rest of the album but you only upload a song early if you are gonna use it as a single, and that’s kinda the only way to have it have a different coding, again, to my knowledge, i can be wrong
