I don't have any of those expectations, and I agree with most of what you said, I was just trying to explain what I thought the other folks were saying (from the perspective of someone who's never been to their concerts and therefore does not have any real expectations of what it will be like)

I think in life it’s the expectations we have of other people and events that really sets up for failure and disappointment. I just wanted to try to share that message in case anyone who read it needed to hear it.

I went to the livestream concert and, in my heart. I had expected I guess for my social anxiety not to be in an issue. I’d heard all about the sense of community people felt from the concerts and I think I expected something similar. The only interaction I had with another fan there was being asked to move from someone’s pre booked seat. I’d expected an external cure to my shit. And I sat there dying in loneliness, I could barely take in whatever was happening on the screen. I was busy sinking.

So yeah I just think it’s important for people to be in tune with what they expect and the reality of certain situations.
