#CBU-97 Loadout Restrictions

Does anyone actually have a copy of the full loadout restrictions? I ask because the CBU-97 loadout restrictions in-game directly contradict the F-15E manual.

For example, the F-15E manual (Page 444) lists a CBU-97 loadout of GBU-10's on stations 8, 5, and 2 with either 3 or 6 CBU-97 on the CFT's. However in-game if you try to mount anything on stations 8 or 2 while you have CBU-97's on the CFT's it will automatically remove the CBU's from your loadout.

The manual and the FAQ both just say, "There's lots of restrictions to try and make it realistic", but neither of them actually say what the restrictions actually are so I'm trying to figure out where to find them.

I don't think there is such a list, but just to be clear, the table on page 444 aren't loadouts, just what can be loaded on each station individually.

Page 7 of the FAQ talks about some of the common restrictions #1121498919365525645 message

CBU-87/97s loaded on the outboard stations of the CFTs will prevent loading other munitions on station 8 and 2. If you want to carry things on the wings, you're limited to three 87/97s per CFT. Rockeyes don't have the same restriction.

Also, IIRC loading CBU's on stations 2 & 8 prevent loading AIM-120's on the 2/8 A & B stations, but not AIM-9's
If you load CBU's on stations 2 & 8, you can load AIM-9's but not AIM-120's on their A & B stations

Too many double negatives 🙂

Meaning either the manual is wrong or the current in-game restrictions are wrong.

You're talking about this, right?

I think the problem is the ambiguity in this:

The section is called air to ground loadout, but each line is not a loadout, just what can be loaded on the station.
Or don't you think it's suspicious that all the loadouts have only one type of bomb until the BLU-107 that can only be loaded on the CFT and not the centreline and pylons

But yeah, VKing is still right. Treat the columns as independent

#

It's just showing you what each station is capable of loading independent of loadout restrictions

The SE can and often does carry AA munitions and fuel tanks while carrying travel pods, for example
