Can someone explain me the rwr and the three different lights on it?

all i know is that the sounds are placeholder

Well, from the manual:

#

I haven't focused on learning this yet. That left symbol is the same as a MiG-23 on the Mirage 2000s RWR, interestingly enough

#

So without playing and testing with it yet, here's my hypothesis (updated):
6: airborne threat detected
5: missile launch
1: ???

#

Looking forward to learning though

#

I have a Flanker off my nose here:

#

30 nm, maybe 15 degrees right, you can barely see it in that screenshot to the right of my adilade

#

I think I just got launched on here. Also, off my right I think I'm getting an indication for the SA-8 I'm flying near (I'm at like 25k ft or so)

#

Yep, R-27ER is inbound

#

F10 view, I am flying roughly 360:

#

I'm updating my hypothesis notes above

unreal shuttle
#

So the weird symbol on the left means you are being STTed?

#

Cause it says aimed at the target during tracking

valid storm
#

I think now the left is tracked, middle STT?

#

Yeah, so far, it doesn't seem to be what I was expecting

unreal shuttle
#

TWS can't mean STT, if it does I will backflip into oblivion

#

hahah

valid storm
#

or I'm interpreting this current single test incorrectly

valid storm
#

🤷‍♂️

unreal shuttle
#

Good thing I speak french

#

But I'm not a pilot

#

so useless me

#

hahaha

valid storm
#

The term for TWS in the M2000 is not TWS

#

I always get it messed up. PSIC vs PSID?

unreal shuttle
#

PSID

valid storm
#

Do you know what those acronyms are for? Might help me remember it if I knew

#

PSID (poursuite sur information discontinue – TWS) mode,

#

found it

unreal shuttle
#

Poursuit something something discontinue

#

Yeah as you said

#

hahah

valid storm
#

I'm assuming that's a mistranslation and poursuite should have been pursuit

#

so... PSID is TWS because: pursuit on discontinuous information... as opposed to continuous information from an STT lock.

#

okay, back to the F1... now to get the SA-8 to launch on me and see if the RWR shows "CW"

buoyant badger
#

The manual clearly states tws means tws

#

Track while scan

valid storm
#

I'm with you there, but see above - the Flanker launched an R-27ER on me and TWS lit up

valid storm
buoyant badger
#

Lmao

#

Then either the manual or module is wrong

#

Rwr is very much placeholder anyways

valid storm
#

I need an adult

#

I'm getting the same "search" indication for the left light now with just an SA-8 around

#

okay, now "TWS" is lit up and I can see smoke off the SA-8

#

so I couldn't get CW to light. Arrows are search, left is track, and center is launch and that's it, I guess. I'm going with Denneledoe's hypothesis that this is all not even worked on yet

unreal shuttle
#

I think so aswell

unreal shuttle
#

I guess we have our answer at 3:45

valid storm
#

I'll have to watch it later

valid storm
#

@echo roost - I saw you ask in #questions

echo roost
#

this doesnt answer my question

valid storm
# echo roost this doesnt answer my question

I guess I don’t understand your question. If it’s about the tws feature in the F1 and not the “TWS” indication of the RWR in the F1, I haven’t tried playing with it yet
