Good day everybody!

Useful info
We are Itsy, a small team of 20 and yet a pre-seed startup company in the UK, however we are already preparing for our soft launch, thus interesting times and a lot of adventure are ahead of us.

At this stage, we are looking not only for an elixir developer, but also an individual who will be part of our team, share our values, grow with us and definitely make a fortune with us, including relocation and share opportunities!

Please note that the position is yet marked as a volunteering, meaning that candidates will move to a paid employment after our market entry. As a result, team members dedicated to make our idea happen are to receive benefits, such as relocation or share opportunities and many more additional bonuses down the line.

Job requirements

  • Ability to write clean code and follow functional programming standards
  • Strong understanding of Elixir, Phoenix framework and LiveView
  • Well versed database knowledge with PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • Proficiency in HTML, TailwindCSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Git for version control
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail and provide seamless interfaces compatible for end user devices.
  • Familiarity with WebRTC is a plus

Regards,
Itsy

why volunteer for a random unknown company when a developer can volunteer for reputable open source projects?

FWIW:

Rights to the National Minimum Wage

An intern is entitled to the National Minimum Wage if they count as a worker.

Employers cannot avoid paying the National Minimum Wage if it’s due by:

saying or stating that it does not apply
making a written agreement saying someone is not a worker or that they’re a volunteer
#

Promise of future work

An intern is classed as a worker and is due the National Minimum Wage if they’re promised a contract of future work.

Is a promised contract of future work, meaning you have to pay your "volunteers" minimum wage at least
