Hello everyone, I'm usually found over on the Elixir slack but I thought I'd give discord a go as well... Apologies for the duplication with #looking-for-work but I was directed to post here also!

I’m on the look out for my next project, I’m an experienced Elixir developer (around six years commercially, with more than ten years of Ruby before that), very familiar with Phoenix and LiveView, familiar with Absinthe, and have enough CSS / JS knowledge to approach projects from a full stack angle. I’ve worked with everyone from large e-commerce companies, media organisations to founders building MVPs to prove out concepts for investors, however I have a strict no crypto/nft/gambling policy.

I’m looking for remote contracting roles, ideally 30 hours / 4 days a week but can do 40 hours and I’m based in the UK but I’ve worked with a variety of US clients and a 3-4 hour overlap is no problem. You can find me on Github and I have a summary of experience that I use in lieu of a CV available on request, DM me, thank you!

I've worked with @obsidian wagon on multiple projects before and he is extremely talented and professional. He will make a great addition to any Elixir team.

Hey @obsidian wagon, I am looking for a contracting gig myself and the market around me seems pretty cold for months now. How is it going for you?

Hey @obsidian wagon , @tranquil lion @weak turret . Would it be possible to chat with you all? I have amassed a network of hundreds of hiring managers in the elixir space in the US. Many managers are struggling to get sign off on permanent hires due to the economic climate and I think we could sell a contracting solution to them and generate some conversations. Would love to jump on a zoom call if you are interested?

Sure, would be interested to hear what's in your mind even if just to join connect/join forces. Note that I'm not US-based but in Germany though in case that matters. 😇

I'd be interested, :uk: based but I've worked with US clients before, central and eastern timezones are easy to get a reasonable overlap for the synchronous bits required
