#I need a singing trainer

Can you tell me more specifically you think you struggle with?
Well I have a decent range, but I struggle with switching into head voice. I still struggle with technique alot. I have decent tone but when singing a song I seem to default more to the singers “original settings” rather than making a song my own and keeping it within my comfortable range
Trying doing some sliding vocal warm ups, they are good to help move from chest to head voice in a smooth way (though generally you want to avoid sliding while actually singing)
Singing some arpeggios can help too
That is another thing that I am guilty of, I keep on singing before I do vocal warm ups. That one is just one I need to stop doing 😂 bad practice
Yes warm ups are crucial, just like how we need to stretch before we work out, warm ups are the singing equivalent
It gets your voice ready
I used to have that habit too, but they make a big difference!!
I have a pretty decent male vocal range, what I’d say is comfortable to sing in is B1-E4/F5, but past E4 is when I have alot less stable vocals and I end up cracking
I feel like I should take better care of my voice, this is like the first time all day that Ive drank water and it is 11:41pm-
Yeah vocal health is important
Make sure you are supported when singing, the higher you sing, the more support your voice requires
Im just not exactly wure how to give my voice support, another thing I really need to learn is not to just belt everything and to learn to sing louder and quieter. Plus needing to learn breath control. I can sing well, but I still don’t have down fundamentals-
The secret to breath support is your diaphragm, which is right below your stomach!
Try some dynamics warm ups to help you learn to use volume in singing!
I’d say there is alot that i still need to learn 😂
I guess I was lucky that I started singing since i was like a tiny child and kept going with it because atleast I can sound good, now i just want to learn and apply skill
I get that, that's how I was too, I didn't start taking lessons til I was high school
And now in college I take intensive voice lessons
Oh sweet!
Im primarily self taught so far
Alot of learning singing early on without lessons is through imitation and copying, and then slowly finding your own voice
You can find some videos on YouTube that can help
