^^ @fervent ginkgo pretty much what emo said you actually have a sense of singing and everyone dislikes their own voice that’s common - however I can see why you also why you dislike it as it’s too quiet and you’re either unconsciously holding back or forcing to hold back as if it’s late at night
This is bad for multiple reasons
Your tone and resonance (simply your voice in general) is stuck and muffled inside the loud instead of out and forward it’s going backwards in a sense
Your pitch gets wobbly
You end up straining the throat etc
So that’s why we have to sing louder and the voice needs to come out and forward and we need to open our mouth and engage our lips and not be lazy

He’s right. For example I’m an experimental artist, so I learn from people I like, mj, The Weeknd etc etc, and then I put an infinity gauntlet on and use what I learned in my own way. My way is extreme and most call it unprofessional but hey, Freddie mercury wasn’t good for nothing

Very which is why my way is very extreme in reality the only reason I’m able to do it is because I have a freakish sense of what going on with my throat, I can feel everything. In reality it’s best to work with what you’re born with, there’s nothing wrong with it.

Yeee basically that’s why we can’t hold back or be too quiet or have any strain especially in the throat area
And most commonly when I teach people have a small mouth and don’t open or lazy flop their lips
Instead of engaging more
Again it’s all common but fixable
But also that proves my point you don’t realize yourself hence why you need a 3rd party person to listen to you who knows what they’re doing and need feedback as when we sing our own brain is messing with our listening and that’s why listening to our own voice in real life vs recording is “weird”
