#A Script Idea

I wrote several pages of a concept here, but I have to start from scratch, because it was too wordy. Will come back to it.
How do you fight a ghost? It is so elusive.
My story often weaves through threads of references to other things.
Marker. @shut oracle is on Take 2!
How would you fight a ghost?
Good question. First, you have to know that it is real. You have to not forget. You have to not be afraid.
Because forgetting, and fear, and illusion, are among its powers. You have to know what it is made of, how it came to be. How it thinks, and how it works.
You have to know it hides in the shadows. Apparition. And comes out when you are unaware.
Focus, presence, awareness. It is a practice.
Write about that then
Thanks. That reminds me of some past ideas. This ghost was an alchemist, a fallen angel, from another place.
A place of common origin with the one it haunts, but divergent paths. It was good once. The Morning Star.
Such a long story. "It wears me out."
The main character is a writer.
I think it is a bit easier to write about a writer, when you yourself write a bit.
The trouble I run into is that I often can't settle on specifics. Ideas fluctuate a lot.
I think the characters name can be Merrick. A very ordinary person.
And his defense against ghost is in writing about him. It may be too mundane.
Ideas always fluctuate, just write ‘em down and start grouping similar ideas together
You won’t know if it works until you write it, and you don’t normally get intuition about most aspects of screenwriting or writing in general until you have experience writing
Just keep writing and eventually something will stick
Something to help focus your ideas, I definitely recommend looking into writing themes—
