Movies that are well shot. Beautiful cinematography. That’s what I care about the most. Of course there’s the exceptions, like perks of being a wallflower, project x, back to the future, ari aster movies, there’s a shit ton of exceptions. But today I’m feeling like looking at the wall for thirty minutes after shutting my laptop so I’ll leave that to you guys.
Some of my favorites, just in case:
Lamb (2021)
Irreversible (2002)
Antichrist (2009)
Anatomy of hell (2004)
Flow (2024)
Beau is afraid (2023)
The perks of being a wallflower (2012)
For TV shows, though, I’d say good cinematography and well-developed characters. Not like stranger things. I’ve been watching season 5 and it’s disappointing. Cool cinematography, but poor writing and incredibly corny lines. Pluribus may be controversial for some, but I adore it as of episode seven, even though so little has happened. It’s got amazing shots, almost paintings that could be hung in a museum. Character-based shows are my weak spot, though plot matters a lot as well. I’m also not afraid of a good laugh, by the way. Recommending something like the office or the good place or community will always be something I look up to. I feel like I just like some pretty-psychedelic-weirdness.
(Good endings do matter, by the way).
Some of my favorites, just in case as well:
Fleabag
Mr. Robot
Six feet under
Dark
Bojack horseman
Severance
The good place
I am not okay with this
The end of the f***ing world.
Sorry for the extensive message lmao.
