@brisk edge Have you looked into Hitchcock? He has some highly regarded murder mystery movies
I’m finally getting around to watching more of his movies other than psycho and so far he does not disappoint

Completely different vibe than what you’re asking for but I’m sure all these films and shows pulled from Hitchcock, he’s the blueprint
