Based on the adventures of the hero Tex from the comic strip by Bonelli. An interesting spaghetti-western/fantasy movie that blends magic and mythology with six-guns and stagecoaches.

Peak stop motion
Which one is your favorite out of the Aardman universe?
I gotta say I grew up with A Grand Day Out so that one is my favorite
Two Bruce Willis time travel movies; Rian Johnson’s Looper and Terry Gilliam’s 12 monkeys
Super underrated
Any Wallace and Gromit film
Curse of the ware rabbit is peak
Fair and square
(For the rhyme, not that the opinion is square lol)
You know I liked bits of it but overall I enjoyed the original shorts more because I grew up with them
Vengeance most Fowl is the best of the feature-lengths thus far imo as it’s obv a direct sequel to one of the shorts
I haven’t watched it yet
Remember the titans with denzel Washington
The Brutalist is a master class of cinematography and is just a truly epic film. It still doesn’t get a lot of attention, even after it won a few Oscar’s.
I love it
Solid 8.5/10 movie
If you liked the originals or Wererabbit you’ll like it
Nice

Yeeeah rip clappy being able to read letterboxd, that feature has been down for at least a week
shawshank redemption
It's an Indian horror movie which talks about A "God" who came to earth but he was so greedy etc that the other God revolted against him but the mother of Gods she was very merciful that she convinced other Gods not to kill "Hastar" but she told Hastar to be Forgotten by the people and never let anyone worship him
Now in the British India people started worshiping Hastar for Greed for money and yeh the movie "Tumbbad" was amazing which talks about Greed and money and yeh
and I love Reggae btw
storks (2016)
Helter skelter, glazed bc of the aesthetic and 0 attention paid to the plot

I think that’s more of a classic than underrated
Strangers on a Train, Rope
Marker. @severe badger is on Take 3!

I wish the Northman was hailed as an instant banger classic, but it just wasn’t. 😞
i wish… it was amazing
The Robert Eggers Christmas Carol is gonna be insane
Marker. @karmic wharf is on Take 3!
I will watch his career with great interest.
icl, it might match a muppets christmas carol
the best adaptation so far
Is this gonna be the first (and probably only) hard R Christmas Carol adaptation? 🤔
Femme Fatale is really underrated

The Fountain deserved so much more attention than it got imo
Marker. @stone pollen is on Take 5!
I think this movie doesn’t get talked about enough, it’s such a good movie
I think that and underrated movie of mine Is the monkey It has problems but i liked it the monkey figure Is well made Better than most of the finale destination movies
I thought it was a bit pants for a theatre release. It would have sat perfectly in a film festival.
"Talk To Me" is one of the best horrors I've seen come out over the last few years. Never hear anyone talk about it.
Talk To Me was sooo good. Haven’t seen Bring Me Back yet but I’m intrigued just because of how good Talk To Me was
Hey fellas. Watched studio ghibli’s ‘Only Yesterday’ today. I loved it than other ones they did. Enjoyed it so much. It’s got this bitter-sweet nostalgia.
Dragon hunters (2008) really underrated animated film imo
A scene in the middle to endish area of the movie hits especially hard
I feel like 'End of Watch' doesn't get the love it derserves.
It really surprised me how good it was. I've been meaning to watch "Bring Her Back". I'll give it a watch tonight and give my humble opinion on it later haha.
Ended up watching it immediately. It's worth a watch. Very well shot and a great psychological horror. I'm not sure I'd say it's scary or as captivating as Talk To Me but there were numerous bits that made me cringe in a good way.
I’ve watched fury by the same director, not that one yet
It’s on the watch list
Fury is so good, definitely up there with the other war movie greats

Burning (2018) for me is among the top South Korean classics like Memories of Murder, I saw the Devil, Parasite, The chaser or Old boy(I personally don’t like this one)
Depending on the day, I might even argue that it’s the best South korean movie I’ve watched till date.
Yup. It's a shocking real story and won oscar for best film too I think?
Not sure about the Oscar part, but I saw a clip of Mark Ruffalos acting and it convinced me to add it to the watchlist
I remember the buzz around this movie during awards season that year
Never got around to watching it though
It won Best Picture & Best Original Screenplay and had 6 noms
I remember the best picture win
Wow thats awesome
In a hospital on the outskirts of 1920s Los Angeles, an injured stuntman begins to tell a fellow patient, a little girl with a broken arm, a fantastic story about 5 mythical heroes. Thanks to his fractured state of mind and her vivid imagination, the line between fiction and reality starts to blur as the tale advances.
This movie is way too overlooked, one of the best movies ever made imo
One of the first screen outings for Will Hay. Hay plays the Director General of the National Broadcasting Group (NBG) who hides away in his office unaware that the general feeling about his programming is that it is too high-brow and the public are not happy. However, when he discovers this he decides to take action and promotes Jimmy, his Head ...

Just watched the trailer. Wow, I somehow totally missed this movie. It seems somewhere between The Three Musketeers, The Mummy, Hidalgo, Oceans 11 and The Princess Bride. Sign me tf up for a screening!
Yeah good comparisons
The godfather
The Lookout (2007.) Not the greatest movie, but I feel it’s overlooked or not a lot of people have seen it.
Master and Commander (2003), a great movie, totally up there with all the great movies of that time, last samurai, kingdom of heavens, gladiator etc.
pixels (2015)
there i said it
Geniuenly its overhated
Its not a masterpiece or anything, the opposite. But the hate is so forced
I like the premise and some of the character/plot points they were going for, but the execution was just...eh. For a story about "videogames save the world," there have been several movies and books that were more impactful and did more with this idea
everything about that movie pisses me off. All the characters are so annoying it is painful to watch
i will say, that one line “no, kennedy shot first” is one of the funniest things ive ever heard for some reason
Im sorry i can't take you seriously w that pfp 😭💔
lmao fair
War of the Worlds is just such a historically significant shitpost, I find it genuinely fascinating
I mean it’s just a really long, bad Amazon commercial
Kingdom of Heaven doesn’t get quite the love it deserves.
And 101 Dalmatians is surprisingly good for a Disney live action adaptation. Much better than the 2021 Cruella, and Glenn Close has one of the best Disney villain performances I’ve seen.
She’s Cruella de Vil. Not Emma, great as she is as an actress.
Which one
Be honest
Is closer to who you envision a live action Cruella de Vil to be?
I asked myself that...
I might be a bit biased because I really enjoy Darren Aronofsky films (with a few exceptions), but I thoroughly enjoyed The Fountain and it's one of my favorite films. It didn't get a lot of love from critics when it released, but it managed to develop a cult following. I feel like the loss of momentum at the release of the film resulted in many people still not having heard about this film. However, it's still a divisive film. I showed it to a woman I had a thing with and she called it one of the worst films she's ever seen lmao.
The soundtrack is well done (Clint Mansell killed it). The use of lighting in the film is just so unique, particularly with decisions like the hospital and surgical center being dimly lit almost entirely with accent lighting instead of the typical bright sterile hospital lighting. The story being told through three different stories set hundreds of years apart. How the film leaves much to the audiences interpretation. The sheer artistry of some of the shots in the future time line. The way scene transitions are so beautifully cut and the pacing of the story switching between the different narratives. The very human story about a man's struggle to deal with death at the core of the story. The major role that the score plays in tieing it all together, even taking center stage at some points with the music coming to a massive crescendo. The decision to avoid as much cgi as possible for the grand visual moments and use microphotography to capture chemical reactions in petri dishes. And the absolute scale of what they tried to achieve narratively, visually and musically really makes the film a must watch for anyone interested in the technical side of film making.
It feels like such a unique film that Aronofsky put a lot of care into and it has a great cast with Hugh Jackman, and Rachel Weiss among others. Hugh Jackman in specific gives such a magnificent performance in this.
It kind of resembles the plot of Steins;Gate if one thinks closely about it…
Eccentric scientist Rintarou Okabe has a never-ending thirst for scientific exploration. Together with his ditzy but well-meaning friend Mayuri Shiina and his roommate Itaru Hashida, Okabe founds the Future Gadget Laboratory in the hopes of creating technological innovations that baffle the human psyche. Despite claims of grandeur, the only nota...
Only seen a few animes in my life, not familiar with the plot of that one.
I'll have to look into it then
I just watched Logan Lucky and I’m so sad that general audiences don’t even know this exists. 😭
