Hello! At the end of last year, I made the most lovely idea to watch 100 movies that I never watched before by the end of December 2025. Currently I am on my 50th movie! (I am oddly really happy about it) And I want more movie recommendations for me to potentially watch! Oh, I like all movie genres for the most part (less favorite is comedy, I just don't laugh most of the time), so recommend anything really, as long as it has an interesting synopsis.

If you can't tell by the list, I like to watch a lot of older movies. I wholeheartedly believe I was low-key born in the wrong decade. The amount of old, vintage stuff I like more than modern stuff is kind of crazy.

A Victorian surgeon rescues a heavily disfigured man being mistreated by his "owner" as a side-show freak. Behind his monstrous façade, there is revealed a person of great intelligence and sensitivity. Based on the true story of Joseph Merrick (called John Merrick in the film), a severely deformed man in 19th century London.

A down-and-out Brooklyn detective is hired to track down a singer on an odyssey that will take him through the desperate streets of Harlem, the smoke-filled jazz clubs of New Orleans, and the swamps of Louisiana and its seedy underworld of voodoo.

The defense and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. What begins as an open and shut case soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the jurors' prejudices and preconceptions about the trial, the accused, and each other.
