Hello capo
starting now
Watching tonight
Let’s gooo
watching in 13 hours, midnight session
Disjointed in multiple areas. But hey there’s like 2 or 3 nice action sequences. Just unfortunate that it’s a bit of a nothing burger after this amount of waiting
we hyped ourselves
the opening was like if i was watching 300 with cop cars
might be one of the worst openings to a film
The editing is badddd.
Can’t lie I thought there were multiple moments where I thought AI was bloody used.
It does this really quick edit thing too fast
Which I bloody called it in the initial teaser trailer… guh
Just finished the flick with pa, we loved it. Will talk about it more tomorrow
The last setpiece was fan-fucking-tastic
Yeah the cabin set piece was great
Wish there was more hand to hand combat but I had a lot of fun with it
this actually was one of the worst films ive seen in awhile
like how can you make the raid and make this
Bit hyperbolic don’t you think
Obviously it’s nothing compared to the raid but it’s still better than 90 percent of other Netflix movies
By a good margin
In all fairness, netflix movies typically suck
That’s why I said by a good margin
Yeah, but that's the point
If most of them suck really badly, one being better isn't exactly a high bar
Nah not really
But it’s one of the rare Netflix movies that I wish was put out in theaters
and i wouldnt say its better than your average netflix film
its dogshit just like most of them
Man there are so many that are a lot worse. Like genuinely
Emilia Perez, Mank, electric state, damsel, rebel moon part 1/2
The silence
We have a ghost, run rabbit run
I could go on and on those are just the first that popped into my head
i could say they were a lot worse if havoc had anything to hold onto
the writing was abysmal
characters forgettable
3 dollar cgi
some of the worst car chase sequences imaginable
infinite ammo video game gunfights that are syfy tier goofy
sloppy camera work and a camera that feels like a 8.0 earthquake is going on every second
action scene were also just boring with the infinite ammo gunfights
so yea not one thing i can actually find enjoyable 1/10 inline
even more sad that its the director of the raid making this
but hey get that paycheck
6 underground
Oh I didn’t even see that one
Well that’s basically how you know it’ll be awful

I can’t even remember the last Ryan Reynolds movie I actually really liked
For me I’d say probably deadpool 2
you'd hate them john woo flicks
nah, mission impossible 2 was hilarious
john woo got that goofy charm
he literally has that infinite ammo video game gunfight thingy going on with most of his movies
Hard Boiled, The Killer, Bullet in the Head and all that
Havoc is more similar to The Gangs of London rather than being similar to The Raid flicks
john woo films i watch cause i think theyre funny
face off was just dogshit but its funny to a degree
havoc isnt funny at all
gareth evans isnt gonna get a pass for imitating john woo when the film has no heart/charm
Each to their own opinion
I won't bloody judge you because our tastes are very different
I thought Havoc had lots of charm
And I was waiting for this movie for, like, what? 5 years?
Might be more than 5 years
I was bound to love Havoc
ive been waiting just as long
the raid is one of my fav action films of all time
i was hyped
i mean just compare the car chase in raid 2 to what we got in this
to me its just a paycheck film, and i think thats fine, bro should get what he can
You're absolutely right about the car chase part
I'd say The Raid 2 is one of the best movies of all time so Havoc couldn't have reached such levels but still
The car chase in the raid 2 is much, much, much better than the one here
Did they really have to go full-CGI?
the raid budget was like 1 milion and the raid 2s was 4.5 million
im reading havoc cost around 80-90 million dollars
and it looks insanely worse and feels way cheaper
but that could be filming in Indonesia is way cheaper, and having no name actors compared to havoc
still crazy what he did with not even 5 million
but 90 million he makes this disaster
The big budget does help the gunfights feel more explosive tbh
All those squibs and blanks
But the budget of the raid movies definitely made them feel nastier
Bro this movie was ASS
The car chase scene is one of the worst uses of CG I’ve seen it looks like a dogshit video game
And the action is incomprehensible
Because of the dark lighting, shaky cam, and abysmal editing
It’s easily one of the worst I’ve seen this year
The screenplay is a disaster
Characters are all nothing burgers
They’re all a bunch of one note archetypes
Aight I’ll go do work
And stop shitting on this pile of diarrhea
Temporarily
Such weird cgi lol
Movie’s pretty good
Just saw this and honestly I liked it
It was a fun action movie for me. Some really cool action in it too
I lowered it to a strong 6. It’s just not as great as I had hoped
And I had really high expectations
But I still liked it overall
That nightclub scene was very good
I gave it a 7.7/10
I gave it a 7
Fair fair
Yeah it’s total garbage
How does one come to this conclusion 🤣
it had tom hardy
True he is sexy
true, toms best role was dunkirk
