What the title says. I’m entering the start of my film making career with the aspirations of one day becoming a director and working on really cool films. I’ve started as a PA with various film making companies in my area and things are going well.
I’ve thought recently about the fact that my area(New England) for reference is not the best for big time film making careers and as such I may very well need to move if I wanna accomplish my goals.
My biggest concern is my girlfriend of nearly two years. She and I have grown very close and it seems a future is likely. I worry though that I might have to move. She seems very willing to just pack up and go wherever I go, but that doesn’t feel right to me.
It feels unfair that she should leave behind her family and possible aspirations to come with me, but I don’t know if this is just a case where I need to get over myself, and let her make that decision if she wants. Does anyone have experience in this sort of situation? Any advice would be useful.
