Ok, so I don't know how to ask this, because I don't which channels I can ask, and also how, despite being on this server for a while. The main thing is I want to get some experience editing, since I'm beginner when it comes to editing, and I want to get some experience by working on projects with others, but I don't know how I would ask if anyone needs an editor other than the job board. I have used the job board before, but usually got no one asking, probably because I'm a beginner.
#Bit of an odd question...

You have a reel or a portfolio?
Generally speaking, people are apprehensive about sharing their raw footage.
my work tends to be private and in a language that is spoken only by few.
My short films are mostly in festivals so not shareable
so none CAN be shared
that's the issue
getting an internship would be optimal
Sorry for the late reply, only projects I've worked on so far are small audio work on the this video: https://youtu.be/Kyxvf7U7M-c
As well as working with another member of this server, Benjarmin, on the script for his series, Jackasses.
Other than that, mainly finding practice projects and following the tutorials, which I'm working on of the projects currently.

That is true, and I respect that not everyone is willing to do so, especially because it take a lot of time to share. The main issue, however is explaining that I'm a beginner, and not getting turned down, although I do know that will usually happen. And the second issue, which is getting an internship, is that I'm 16, and still in high school, so the chances of finding a program, or any internships locally is pretty low.
What's stopping you from filming footage yourself
Or from befriending people in film making groups near you
The issue stopping me from making footage for myself is mainly due to the winter season, homework, and the times when filming would be good I'm usually at school. Also a good amount people I know from my school wants nothing to do with filming, no idea why, and the ones that do have strict parents. And I wish I was making that up.
The issue from befriending those in filmmaking groups is there no groups nearby where I live, nearest one is in Detroit, which seems like small issue, but because I'm 16, and also prefer knowing those in groups in person (Mainly because of my parents wanting me to be safe, partially because I'd want to know who's in the group).
Here's some practice footage

Edit stuff, make a reel, then apply to stuff
Got it. Sorry for overexplaining, I've been overthinking how to get practice for a bit.
