I’m personally typically free on Wednesday and Friday anytime around or after 5:30pm. otherwise weekends (Saturday and Sunday) I should be open all day for the most part.

Yeah, if you just do it on the sheet while your in game it'll make things quicker coz i've looked at the game settings and the import character settings is on, so the doing it in game might be your only choice

yeah it's all done on the character sheet, so just make a character, or make one on the character creator and use the plus key to bring them into the game

what do you recommend for notes like allies enemies and backstory?

You can discuss between yourselves about the backstory whether you’re characters have been working together for a while, or just recently got together the Allie’s and enemies you can make mutual with each other or keep it personal it’s entirely up to you my friend

Neil's a newcomer to the group, his backstory is that he "used" to be a Scarlet Pimpernel/Arsen Lupin/Zorro kind of character... master thieving "for good" by night while posing as an aristocrat (retired decorated soldier) by day (but the group doesn't know that, they just know him as a down and out "ex-rich guy who was apparently a really good soldier"). But he got older and lazier... and complacent... someone recently robbed him blind (reason hidden for now) so all he has is everything on him and 100 gold... that's why he joined up, he needed MONEY to restart.

He's a high dex high charisma HALF-ELF ROGUE character with excellent acrobatic and persuasion, but shit constitution and even worse strength.
He also has expensive tastes and extreme desires/need for gold.

Classic purebred Chaotic Good character.

Oh, a shortsword, a rapier, 20 darts and 2 daggers (and a set of Fine Clothing that is a disguise)

I've got no food or water, which I assume we're going to be doing that in RP

I think the character got made for me. I decided to switch things up. I'm a red dragonborn barbarian...a mercenary outcast from his previous band for failing to fit into their standards and is wandering just looking for any kind of job to do as long as it involves doing what he does best, which is fighting. It's the classic chaotic neutral barbarian

Sure...but Session 0's are also usually for establishing any house rules or maybe giving players a clear idea of what to expect. But that's fine.

Not in my experience, thats for the introduction for session 1, and the backstories can be as vague or as detailed as you wish

Also its an official module no homebrew or anything like that so theres no need for house rules

Well I certainly approach things differently as a DM...it is worth noting that when I say "house rules" I usually mean things like any alterations to rule to make play the way you or other players feel comfortable, as well as general stuff on behaving well or else risk getting banned...that kind of stuff.

Considering its a server event, i'd have assumed that you guys would be aware that server rules on behaviour also apply to the game as i am staff

Also theres no need for any alterations to the rules for this module

As far as im aware, the 2024 rules only really alter stuff for classes/subclasses which on roll20 is all automated anyway so you shouldn't have to worry about it too much, the rest of the rules, as far as im aware are only minor, i've not come across any major rule changes that make it vastly different from 5e as a whole

If a weapon has the thrown property, you can throw the weapon to make a ranged attack. If the weapon is a melee weapon, you use the same ability modifier for that attack roll and damage roll that you would use for a melee attack with the weapon. Nahh not yet, the only time they hand out anti-biotics for sinus infections here is if its been going on for longer than a week, been the same every time i've suffered from one coz the NHS is cracking down on anti-biotic over-prescription to stop super bugs
