#What movie franchise deviated so hard from the original, that it ruined it for you?

underworld is a good example because the first one had kinda vampire the masquerade vibes and then it sverved into a completely different direction.

Of course that didn't ruin it for me I still had decent fun with it. But it would have been nice to see the version that was more masquerady

Cars 2 but I wouldn't say it totally ruined it for me. I mean I still liked the action but they forget about racing & McQueen & dive into a spy thriller which is quite a hard left turn from Cars 1. Cars 3 was back on track tho.

Subjectivity is a funny thing...I was thinking of those -a little off topic, though- wishing they'd faulted for daring anything new, instead of faulting for being as rancid as a vampire feeding on its own blood
