Hey guys my names Alex and I'm an aspiring filmmaker. I do a lot of just about everything but I want to specialize on filmmaking or cinematography.
I have about 2 semesters of college left but the main problem is finding people who are in the industry or just overall connections.
My mindset is:
Okay so im going to create a sustainable photography business mainly doing "studio shoots for students (grad, birthday, etc) while perfecting that, I can work on my own short films or just producing creative ideas I have. Its just I feel like theres no opportunity here in Northcarolina. I live in a small town and potential jobs are always 1hr30min away. I just dont know what to do to get exposure. I've been thinking about going to some filmfestivals and connecting that way but idk.
Any advice???
