Fuck yeah wade is marvel Jesus fr
He said no, but cleverly skirted the question
Pyro manipulates fire, Johnny Storm expel fire as energy AROUND him, according to official literature, heâs normally a strong street level, but can be a planet level when certain conditions are met and when he goes critical.
So yes, Pyro is not ultra strong, but was a natural against Johnny Storm
ah I see
Think of Pyro as a âcounterspellâ or âpower counterâ to The Human Torch.
such specific conditions now lol
Right, kryptonite is a pretty lame glowing crystal normally, but WHEEEEEE donât get it close to Superman.
pretty much lol
Iâd think Cassandra Nova knows generally what kind of people TVA would cull into the Void, so is prepped for a few eventualities, and Pyro was specifically in the welcoming committee because she knows Johnny is out there as an insurgent of sorts, to her
But yes, Pyro can make any fire bigger or smaller or take any shape he wants⊠pretty lame in general lol
speaking of cassandra nova, heard she's awfully psychopathic in the comics
Yes, especially in the New X-Men run, she was the prime villain
This compendium of the first few arcs by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely comic run is seen very much as a revival in the comics world of the X-Men series
And yeah, a real psycho
She was able to disable Jean Gray and almost took over Xavierâs mind at first appearance.
At least we got the Gambit we wantedâŠ
I might be the only person who was excited by that movieâs announcement back in the day⊠I read his stuff even before the X-Men animated series
Nicepool is what Ryan Reynolds jokes how he would be if Wade Wilson never got cancer, and and there is a Samurai (not the one with the small arms at the end of that sequence) that wouldâve been a version that was what the Fox continuation of the character wouldâve been after Wolverine Origins.
No Gwenpool, sadly, but I guess that wouldâve required talks to Sony (any version of Gwen Stacyâs characterâs movie rights belongs as a package to SpiderMan) and it wouldâve been way too much work for the clearing department (who did get us a Batman mention and Furiosa / Mad Max jokes etc, which are probably not that easy in themselves)
Both are Warner IPs, but the timing is probably just right, since they needed the money, and probably wouldnât have released the rights to use those lines if they didnât mind making a couple of hundreds of thousands extra dollars off Disney. lol
That has been the whole meta of Marvel comics, since late 80s⊠Mutants are seen as âreplacementsâ to us, as evolutionary superiors (homo superior in the comics), while all the others including Gods are like ânot our replacements or are freak accidents, or special individuals, or (like Asgardians and Atlantians) foreign dignitariesââŠ. Mutants are GENETIC, and can PASS the X-Gene to their offsprings. Thatâs a massive difference.
Just an aside, it's funny to me how many actors, once they work with RyRy, will keep working with him. Says a lot about how he is away from the cameras, I think.
and not even the big name ones. Discovered today that the guy who played Juggernaut also played Dude in Free Guy
yeah ryan seems very nice
i remember he was playing Deadpool with a youtuber for DP2 promotion and he was very nice lmao
tva exists outside of time so she is a variant from the future, she's probably been in the void for a while
Ya I always forget for TVA time isn't linear and everything happens all at once and so we know Laura was young in 2029 when Logan took place, so she must have done something to be in the void in the future.
the reason why the tva chose to destroy wade's universe in 2024 instead of after logan dies in 2029 is because thats just the time when wade is most fit to be brought to 616
so they go to 2024 to pick up wade, and since theyre already there may as well put the timeline ripper in that time
whether its right after logan dies or 5 years prior makes zero difference to the tva, because to them the universe is already over
Yep, they be assholes, that little division at least anyway
Not the whole TVA though.. it was Paradox who tried to hasten demise of Deadpool's universe which would have taken 2000 years otherwise to naturally die, and later he's arrested by Hunter B15
well yeah, by "the tva" i meant paradox and his team
people in the tva
also, i just saw some btw photos and can confirm that wolverine's cowl is, in fact, practical
well except for the eyes which are cgi so they can be expressive like deadpool's
but the cowl is real
idk why people ever thought it wasnt
i think people are so used to the over abundance of cgi in modern movies that everything sets off their cgi-radar now
deadpool & wolverine uses a surprising amount of practical sets and costumes and stuff like that
Like you said, because of the eyes
and the whole thing just kinda looked off
I know that they blew the budget on the cameos but I wish that some of the background Deadpools were comic inspired Variants like Cable & Deadpool Teleporter Belt Deadpool or X-Force Grey Suit Deadpool or Ultimate Deadpool
i really dont know why some people are saying that, it was literally a real mask đ
like what about it specifically looked "off"?
again i think this is a case of people being so used to cgi masks in marvel movies that a real practical mask sets off their cgi radar
I will say in some cases using a practical set doesnât mean anything if it looks like shit
Yes itâs great that it was done practical but thatâs not a defence when it doesnât even look like that
Specifically one set in this movie that I was really surprised to see was practical
i mean i think all the sets in the movie look fine?
Let me just find it
Well some
The final city looks really fake outside of that one street
But itâs pretty hard to mess up an empty void
Anyway let me find the specific one
Looks fine to me
Like IDK man seems like your not picking
yeah that just looks like a city lol
Iâm glad
Like itâs not horrible
this really does feel like nitpicking to me
âUnfairâ bro itâs a single shot for like 5 secounds
what about it looks fake?
It looks fine
It looks green screen, like the background is flat
Donât agree
Well you wouldnât
Whatâs that mean?
Itâs in a sort of vision sequence so itâs fair
Not meant to be like a real place
I thought it looked fine, had enough of a depth of field
Now, weâre some CGI aspects wonky, yeah. But again some of this is reaching
I thought because it looked endless it added to the idea that wolverine caused the death of thousands
Looks fine
there are definitely some questionable cgi moments in the movie
He doesnât even look like heâs really there
the ones you are mentioning are not those
Like the Deadpool head looked like ass
Thatâs fair
It looked goofy as hell
What about it makes you feel that way
he literally is though, so i think its just you
like idk what to tell you
he is literally actually there
This is what I said earlier
He is there but if it doesnât look like that then itâs no good is it
And there are some moments where you can know something is CGI and it can look like it but still look visual appealing
Like the end shot of Deadpool and Wolverine popping out the bus window
I mean thatâs the worst one in the whole movie
Theyâre fully digital for like 9 seconds
Like clearly itâs CGI even looks like it, but itâs a damn well executed visual
Have you seen Peter Pan from 2003
A lot of stuff in that film is clearly digitally composited but it uses its extravagant visuals to make something that isnât grounded, but rather extravagant
That looked so bad lmao
Could have been better anyways
Sure
Looked a bit like a video game
But like I donât think it makes this film a 0/10
No but plenty of other elements make up for that
Yeah exactly
It had heart
The cast has charisma
i understand why them jumping out of the bus was cgi but i genuinely do not understand why they didnt just switch to the actual actors once they landed
No I meant other elements make it a 0/10 lol
Oh you didnât like it
they've done transitions from cg models to the real actors in mcu projects before
Damn
Idk Iâm very split on it
like deadpool literally falls out of frame, they could have just had ryan himself stand up after that
I had a decent time watching it
Iâm struggling to find a rating for it honestly
we had shit like Madame web
I mean like
Marvel in general
Madme Web
when your competition is madame web and an agatha show
I do agree itâs the best mcu movie this year
The meta humour is refreshing because at least marvel is aware of their critisms and might try and rectify them
its pretty easy to be the best
but i do like this movie
probably give it like
8/10
HAHAHAGAGA
No
But thatâs not effective when the movie criticising them is doing the same thing
i think its better than deadpool 2 but not on par with deadpool 1
Desperation move
âThe multiverse is so oldâ or whatever, whilst making a movie centred around it
And it was well done
Whether it was well done or not isnât relevant to the irony of such statements
The only good multiverse movie so far has been no way home
Because they didnât randomly half arse it
Calling things old and boring whilst doing that thing is like what
Deadpool would take the piss out of her shit tv show
For sure but the scene where they jump out of the bus and Deadpool is in his âidle animationâ looks like his entire body is 100% cgi which is odd.
âIâm sorry whoâs your dialogue consultant the minions?â
The pillars are meant to be endless which is difficult to achieve physically but they probably could've found a way
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of madness is one of the most disappointing movies of all time for me
The most accurate depiction of gambit
What is gambits accent supposed to be
Couldâve, but they didnât
Caujin
Yeah I thought something like that
And it was SPOT ON
âTalk or I start dealingâ
BROB
BROOOO
LIKE ITS FAN SERVICE WELL DONE
Where was the 2015 fantastic four
Dead
Everyoneâs favourite superhero movie
Thatâs one thing thatâs funny tho
Everyone is acting like these were beloved characters
When Jenniefer Garners Electra got panned and flopped
But it was cool to see her tho
This movie would have been a 10/10 if they referenced Stormâs Toad line
LMFAOOOOO
I'm shocked they didn't go for such a easy joke
sabertooth was literally in the movie
Why no Nic Cage ghost rider or punisher
What about the Netflix marvel show characters
sony made those ghost rider films I'm sure
no way home had daredevil at least
HELL YEAH
Wait does Sony still own ghost rider?
Probably just the rights to the films
Wasnât he in Echo as well
I want to see Cloak and Dagger from the Amazon prime series again as well
No one talks about that show
Itâs my lil secret
Wasnât there a car with flames on it in one shot though
wait guys
đ€·ââïž
Probably but itâs weird on the tva screen which means it happened in one universe
this is true
But the question is which?
Do you think itâs the Mcu one?
Could be one we never see
Very sure it's done on purpose at a jab at fans who speculate about every little thing
Like a joke that with endless universes this happened somewhere
Sometimes the best twists are guised as a jest
You donât take it seriously
Until it actually happens
Its reused thor 2 footage so like, when would we see thor looking like his old self again
This is the third best multiverse movie

A whole bunch of people are trying to check if âMegan Foxâ is in Deadpool⊠gah too bad she doesnât look that way anymore⊠but the camera and the way it acts around her certainly makes you think itâs a cameo⊠anyhow, TVA Worker is going to have a career now lol
Movieâs great, but heâs a bit rando villain
With how the titular characters dispose of people they see as bad, I bet everyone expected him to have a bad fate
nope uhhhh, to the prison for you
was there a Stan Lee cameo that i missed or did they run out of those?
Pretty sure the permanent final cameo was in endgame
ah ok. i thought they filmed like 100 of those or something
He appears in a photo on the side of the bus during the deadpool brawl.
???? there hasnt been a stan lee cameo since he died
What if I said i didn't watch this in cinema
đŹ a day after it came out, the entire thing was on YouTube in 1080p đ
Pretty sure whoever uploaded is screwed đŹ
Wasnât there a picture cameo tho ?
on the bus, yeah
During end credit, they had his appearance in one of the Fox X-Men during the behind the scenes
Not much you can do with someone whoâs passed away.
Itâs probably Cam anyways, I donât condone piracy, but I despise cams forms of piracy the most
Side of the bus during the Deadpool Corps fight
Man Blake Lively does a sexy walk as Ladypool
2 of Ryan Reynoldsâ daughters are in the scene too, one as Kidpool and the other voiced Babypool
âVoicedâ, more like grunted lol
sure, but i thought i heard somewhere that they filmed like a 100 cameos of Stan Lee so he could keep having appearances in films after he died. guess taht was wrong
Finally I watched it
Most fun Iâve had in a year
I missed the after credits because of an emergency. Is it just Johnny talking?
If so I probably didnât miss anything important
Nothing important, but it's funny to see Chris Evans being so foul-mouthed
"and you can quote me."
to me thats the funniest line of the movie
why would they do that, if they donât even know what story or settings each project is about?
Basically, ||Deadpool was at TVA and brought up footage of Johnny saying EXACTLY what Deadpool told Cassandra what Johnny said⊠AND predicted exactly how he was going to die⊠just so he wonât be blaimed for killing The Human Torch||
I think I remember hearing that they'd done a lot of filming with him at once so he didn't have to keep going to film sets etc
and it was all greenscreened so they could just insert him wherever, but that was when they were doing 4 films a year
He filmed a few, but those were for project that was already known⊠because his health had declined a lot⊠not âa whole bunchâ⊠I believe that Endgame used off the last ones of that⊠more generic versions might still show up later, but they might be keeping them for more important projects like Avengers⊠basically each they use, they have one less.
So are we getting the same cast for the next Xmen movie or will they reveal that Xmen were in the MCU the entire time?
I donât see them doing another multiverse thing for the Xmen movie
And the big issue with those are also that you still have to make them fit⊠and technology has already changed a fair bit since Endgame⊠the footage might need significant work to fit into new films shot on Alexa LF and other large format cameras.
Nobody knows, at least not in the public.
Theyâre gonna have them do it til theyâre 90
Iâm assuming the next time something comes up with Deadpool would be like⊠Doomsday
X-men might be mentioned before, specifically in Agatha and maybe Cap America and Thunderbolt, but I donât think weâll know until closer.
We already know the Fantastic Four will come with different actors so they may do the same with the other characters
Mmhmm⊠Iâm more curious about cameos and additional people outside of the core F4 characters.
I mean, f$&$ I want to see Spider-Man babysit Franklin and Valeria with Dragon Man, but the chances of Sony allowing that would be slim I guess, unless Disney wants to part with a lot of the box office percentage.
Announcing Doom now is going to be interesting⊠RDJ as Doom probably will only work well in Doomsday⊠but not having Doom in First Steps is going to be weird I think, but weâll seeâŠ
speaking of Fantastic four
Alex Ross cover art for Fantastic Four #22 ⊠goodness me
I saw a theory the other day about RDJ as Doom. Basically, the characters learn that Tony was an anchor being so they go looking for another one, not realising the one they picked up was actually Doom.
For the love of god I hope that's not the plot
becasue that's exactly what Deadpool did
Reminds me of Ruins a bit
Imagine Alex Ross drawing what Warren Ellis drew
Btw speaking of which ig everyone including Disney is trying to cover up 2015âs Fantastic Four because itâs not on Disney Plus anymore
I thought it would be referenced in DP3 because I think they were originally planned to be involved in DP2
The cast in that movie deserved a second chance
GAMBIT LIVES THERE IS HOPE AFTER ALL! #DEADPOOLANDWOLVERINE
https://t.co/HtVtUUIYG4
đ 276 đ 14
nice, Gambit lives
It wonât be, itâll be too stupid even for MCU
It really only works with The Merc With A Mouth⊠because of the 4th Wall BreaksâŠ
Iâd think all 4 variants lived, including Elektra and Blade
glad that there's a sense of confirmation
I want a full Gambit movie, but like The Hulk, the character is more a serialized character, or support in movies⊠solo film isnât easy with him
Itâs not easy to find a compelling perspective for him on a solo feature film level
Unless MOST people, I liked Daredevil and Elektra films, but Iâm weird like that lol
I also loved She-Hulk series
I thought itâs red, just very very dark, like a dark burgundy⊠but I could be wrong⊠and Iâm sure they wanted to make Deadpool the âbrightest redâ in the movie
For being comic book films, mcu movies outside of the gotg and third and fourth thor films, they sure aren't ever trying to be colorful
True, and even then Deadpool and Wolverine has probably the brightest costumes yet
Iâm a bit tired of dark and grungy honestly
What about her headpiece?
Again, probably trying to make sure Deadpool is the only FULL RED costume⊠which is probably why Azazel appears so little too
Everyone else except Sabretooth looked pretty comic accurate
Gambit looked like he was in a Halloween costume compared to the last live action version
And I loved him for it lol
And Johnnyâs 4 was bigger and in the middle of his chest instead of smaller and on his breast
âWhoâs your dialect coach? I feel like we could be missing a LOT of critical expositions!â
And the Fantasticar⊠makes me so happy lol
Though, thatâs Movie accurate, not quite comic accurate
Juggernaut not saying Iâm the Juggernaut bitch was disappointing too
Movie reference, not comic, Iâm ok with that lol
Already incredible amounts of sendup in the film
They brought back the same actors wearing the same costumes for fan service probably so them making the movie references would fit
Like in NWH
I mean, Iâm sure they wanted as much as they can, but as Deadpool said âoh NOW Disney cheaps out!â
Lol
just watched logan for the first time since it came out in theaters
still holds up
absolutely fantastic movie
Itâs my second favorite movie
Itâs already a classic because other movies have been copying it
"I believe I came out my daddy's dick ready."
Honestly, as much as I love the Fox X-Men series, Logan still stands as THE BEST movie in that group
I donât believe âI believeâ is part of that line lol
Well, itâs nothing new, formula and story-wise, but damn every part of that film just builds and builds⊠now what IS new, is desecrating the corpse⊠âI promise I wonât use MY weaponsâ
Deadpool lied, as always though lol
Best opening credit sequence in a superhero film ever hahaha
seeing the grave at the ending of logan, knowing what's gonna happen to it in a few years: đ°đ°đ°
Also, probably the most innovative use of Adamantium ever lol
"There are 206 bones in the human body, 207 if I'm watching Gossip Girl."
"Uzi time?" "Uzi time"
You think the hair is fake and she actually lost all of it
I'm only now realizing now that the X-Men timelines make no sense, like what timeline is what?
Xmen movies wasted so much potential. like The Apocalypse movie shoulda been like 6 movies
Days of Future Past shoulda been a trilogy
i think my instagram algorithm knows the type of reel i like đ
is this actually Earth-10005 like it's said in the movie? Wade Wilson in Earth-10005 became Weapon XI in Earth-10005 did the post-Days of Future Past Time Travel Timeline alter it so that Wade got a different fate? why are all the X-Men the age they were in the 90s in the Deadpool 2 cameo?
basically because there was so much time travel
anything between like 1970 and 2024 is completely up for debate
so they can pick and choose what is and isnt canon
if The Wolverine still is canon why is Yukio completely different? Time Travel Again?
as for the deadpool 2 x-men cameo, i wouldnt look at that as anything other than a joke
i think only parts of the wolverine are canon now
because it takes place in 2013
again, its very complicated and messy
and my best answer would be "just dont think about it too much"
the people making the movies didnt think about the timeline so neither should you lol
not to mention that the movie logan implies that things didnt go exactly as the movies showed them to
and if Logan is apparently the tail end of the X-Men since they're all dead, how were they in Deadpool 2? it's almost as consistent as Doctor Who continuity
again, the cameo in deadpool 2 is nothing more than a joke
its just a bit to get a laugh
Maybe they came from the multiverse even back in 2018
THe MAIN MCU is 616, and yeah they put THIS film in that, so... that's good
Logan is also 616, and canon, apparently, so was Deadpool 1 and 2
YeahhewaslayingthembutterynutsallupinmymommaandIshotoutthereandIsaidwassupdoc
đ 46.05K đ 3.9K
Singlehandedly made me wish I saw the movie subtitled but that would've made this less funny
how does this joke work in language dubs
Prior to loki season 2 there was only one timeline. The sacred time lime. Any deviations led to that timeline being pruned.
Is that how Gambit is supposed to sound?
I prefer the "mon ami" stuff.
The Proposal
They do now... since it was established with Happy toward the beginning of the film.
Official Fox is 10005, but that one has already died "technically speaking"... and that "he's native" at the end, brings him back to 616
Until we know more in future films, I would say that 10005 and 616 are the same now
Either way, Fox Universe is 10005, but we don't know if they are going to be the same as 616, or that they are merging, or whatever.
def would not. It will give giggle but the sound he makes is whats important
Again "who's your dialect coach!? I feel like we are missing important exposition here!"
Well, I think her entire backstory is way more sane than most other Deadpools, and her creator actually was inspired BY Blake Lively's character on Gossip Girl called Serena (what a way to come full circle). She didn't get cancer (I think, not 100% on that), but did get healing factor from her Wolverine, which left her somewhat scarred (though not as bad as most other Deadpools)... as far as canon, I don't think they really go into it too much in the comics that I'm aware of... she STARTED as basically what she looks like already (full costume and mask, with the horsetail but no Uzis), when Deadpool 616 was travelling all over the multiverse with Headpool after a cross-over with Marvel Zombies (if I remember correctly), and was quickly inducted into Deadpool Corps, and quickly became their leader because she was the most intelligent and least insane, while insane enough that other Deadpools will listen to her.
It's also rather confusing that at the time Deadpool-616 and most other Deadpools had a holoprojector that allowed them to "look like anyone", so even though she looked stunning under her mask (all her scars somehow stayed gone after The Pools came back from their individual illusions, where The Awareness trapped them... and she hid it from the team until she died crashing a "Bea Arthur" into Galactipool... long story), and that she was DRAWN to look like Serena (again, on Gossip Girl), we don't know exactly if that was 100% permanently under that mask.
Here's a pic from her 2010 unmask after the events mentioned above, and 2 sets of limited official figures of the unmasked character.
And there's what the character Serena looked like in season 4 (2010), and season 1 (2007)
As said in Deadpool 1 "McAvoy or Stewart? All these timelines can be so confusing!"
i think i read somewhere apparently its the city from free city so if thats right that is probably why
It isnât the exact same one but it looks a lot like it
same set?
Man, they can't have a woman look even slightly unappealing
I thought that was a lot of deadpool's character, purposely wearing a mask at all times when in costume
no
absolutely not
I gotta get onto that trap sweep
actually insane that this man is 55

Deadpool & Wolverine Timeline: how the movie jumps from Universe 10005 to the 616 Sacre...
I remember we got a silence your phone ad for the movie before furiosa started and my dad said "he looks old now"
His workout routine probably would've been for nothing if it wasn't for that climax
It makes sense tho, when ya get shredded having below 10% body fat u gonna look crazy, seen some old heads at the gym I lift at that look like Greek gods lol. Iâm curious if he used PEDs, cause if he had to maintain that low body fat percentage levels while acting would be insane, Iâd think he would have been on some form of PED to be able to not be lethargic and tired on set.
he claims he didn't
and there's a pretty well documented method for shooting shirtless scenes
1: usually they shoot them first
Dehydrated
and 2: if you just dehydrate yourself
yeah
as in-shape as hugh is, he does not look like that all the time
you dehydrate yourself for three days
and then have sugar
and it causes your skin to cling to the muscles super tight
i can't wait for this movie to come to vod so we can have some very hd photos of... certain scenes
He claims he didnât use steroids, that doesnât mean heâs not using other PEDs
yeah he could definitely be using some sort of TRT
but honestly
that is absolutely a naturally attainable physique
especially when you consider he had 8 months to get in shape
Iâd think cause male test levels decrease with age
Iâm gonna hop on trt once I hit that age lol
fair lmao
Iâm going to see this movie again today
Any of yall see in imax 3D? Is it worth seeing in imax 3D like Avatar 2? Or is this movie not take advantage of 3D
i have heard that the imax 3d is very good
I think the opening would look amazing, I remember at my first viewing thinking this sequence was shot like it was made for 3D
There's no CGI involved in this right ?
that is a 100% unaltered photo
That's just crazy
passing the first two movies in less than two weeks is insane
Yes it is.. a billion dollars is a guarantee now and it will definitely pass Joker as highest grossing R rated movie imo
even when people were doubting this movie, i always held strong that it would make 1.1-1.3 billion
now the estimates are saying it will make around 1.2 billion
i was right all along
Again, tf you on about? 616 was literally said in the film, no matter if Deadpool stayed in 616 (previously 199999), the Fox timeline is 10005. There are only 3 choices, they are in 616, they are in 10005, or that they are somewhat merged or is merging in a not so distant future. Just saying âNoâ without adding information or your own opinions is dismissive and offensiveâŠ
they are in 10005
deadpool traveled to 616 in the first scene
then went back to 10005
it said so in the movie
Yes fine you are probably right, I need to see the film again, but donât just dismissively say ânoâ and âabsolutely notâ⊠that just makes dead ends.
nah, imma do my own thing
fuck Joker.
But they have lady gaga in the sequel now
As non-psychiatrist Harley Queen. Fits a non-Joker quite well.
yeah they really are relying on dc branding to sell a movie that has literally nothing to do with the characters it claims to be about lol
Joking Phoenix.
He'll never face Batman, how am i supposed to take this guy serious?
Because he has a nice gun and ||shoots deniro|| lol⊠but Iâve made my opinions clear that I didnât really like the film before lol
This movie would be awesome if it werent beholden to DC Comics.
Just a guy going crazy.
Heh yah
i am beginning to really dislike erik voss from new rockstars
i tried watching his video going over the things he got wrong about deadpool & wolverine
but had to stop
he just comes across as so petty
like he feels personally attacked because his stupid theories weren't true
even though it was officially confirmed that taylor swift wasnt in the movie months ago, he still thought she was
because she used the word "dazzling" in one song
and for some reason he was convinced that deadpool and wolverine would revisit endgame
even though logistically that would be nearly impossible
and would serve zero narrative purpose
but he said that ryan reynolds and shawn levy literally failed the fans by not doing it???
what an actual entitled asshole
he got super angry about a plotpoint not making sense, only to be immediately reminded of something in the movie that he had forgotten about
then got super defensive and dismissive
I had thought they do cgi touch ups on actors though?
i mean sometimes? but that is an unedited bts photo
the director confirmed they didnt do touch ups on the shirtless scenes
it seems like in some shots they did do touch ups on hugh's arms, only because some shots were filmed like a year later than the rest due to the strike and it would basically be impossible to stay in the exact same shape for that long
They are in 10005, the only portion of film that occurs in 616 realm is the part with happy, after its show Deadpool going back to 10005 verse with his âpalsâ. ig maybe itâs arguable the void but I think the void is supposed to exist outside of the verse designations as the âtrash dumpâ
yeah my interpretation is that every universe and timeline leads to the same point far far in the future
and that is the void
so the void serves almost as like a central station that can allow you to travel between universes
Wouldnât they lead to the place where he who remains is at, that was called the place at the end of time or something like that.
Based on Loki interpretation it seemed like pruned things would go to void, so the void, tva, area where god of story loki, and he who remains are at exist outside space and time?
well remember they got there through the void?
the place at the end of time is in the same place as the void
alioth is the watchdog of that place
They did actually
When CG Deadpool falls off screen it transitions to real Deadpool
but for some reason they didn't do the same with Wolverine
So it's just his CG version idling for like 10 seconds
It's so strange
it definitely does not, he is very clearly cgi through the whole shot
tbh i think idle pose wolverine is so funny so i dont mind it lmao
No it's real Deadpool when he stands up
In fact it's more obvious it's real Deadpool when you see him next to CG Hugh
not that i condone piracy
kinda cool seeing how the claws fit into the skeleton
Hereâs some interesting details not sure about this guy info source, https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRos6Gjw/
News worthy
yeah that sounds about right
you dehydrate yourself for a few days and it makes your skin thinner
and your muscles pop
but no one should be looking like that all the time
Jesus people over here in the states are absolutely eating this film
if half the total is just domestic
i just solved something
there's a bts photo of wolverine in the bus scene
and the cowl is real which is great
but he also had tracking dots on his arms
which caused people to think his arms were cgi
BUT
after watching the scene in the movie and comparing it to the bts photo
the dots were just to track cgi blood onto his arms
the arms are real
you can see in the actual scene theres a ton of blood sprayed on his arms that isnt present in the bts photos
It's doing well internationally too I believe
it actually overperformed internationally this weekend by quite a bit
Ya
why is that gif 4 hours long
maybe your internet man
Let's not jump here lol
He looks damn good.
But, do remind yourself that Hollywood has zero problems using roids and other enhancers.
but they do it in a very controlled and monitored way
however, it was still probably hell getting into that shape
Just in case someone thinks this is to be emulated by a "normal" person.
It's still steroid use lmao
I don't care how monitored it is, you're still fucking your body up.
Just saw this in theaters an hour ago. I don't think the MCU will ever top this.
Especially that intro, holy fuck
the only very few mcu films that is great in a long time
That intro made me dead inside and regret my decision to be there lol
just from the start with wade singing the marvel studios logo theme and explaining the company merge stuff I was like "oh no, I'm not gonna like this"
but shoutouts to the little kid next to me having a blast for making it tolerable
dancing sequence went on TOO LONG
I always appreciate a modern blockbuster including intro credits because we hardly ever see em in those types of movies anymore because audiences keep having less patience but yeah it just kept going
why the fuck is he stood like that
Ai
I saw this on Twitter
the proposal
How amazing would it be if Disney switched their Blade for the original instead?
Same đ
Erm, where is the Howard the Duck respect, frick you
But yeah it was nice to see blade respect
We couldn't really of had x men or raimi spider man without him
thus, everything else made afterwards, for better or worse

Everyone is allowed to post movie shots now?

Um damn people getting HQ gifs of abs already
Why are all the gifs and vids of the movie in higher quality than the theater screen?
I swear there must be some person with a high quality camera that had a theater screen all to himself to record
was shocked at how decent looking a cam rip of mario movie looked within a week of released
I went to AMC theaters and it was so blurry I had to keep looking at my hand to see if my vision was ok
And I could easily see the chromatic aberration on the screen
Ayo?
eesh that place needs to get new projectors it seems
Not sure why we are showing this now if the movie came out like 1 week ago
I know thw whole internet knows about it already but it feels weird
These kinds of movies donât really have the strongest legs
So theyâve got nothing to lose after the second weekend
Yeah that makes sense

It's interesting how people are now fond of She-Hulk after they burned that poor show to the ground 2 years ago
Perfect response
It was praised back then for bringing back Daredevil
Tbh Daredevilâs introduction in the show was much better than the cameosâ introductions in DP3
Except Johnnyâs because that one was genius
I didn't watch She-Hulk but when Matt was introduced in the show I got very excited
Some episodes are worth watching
I should give it a try, I kinda dropped the ball with the MCU after Werewolf at Night lol
Except for the ones that say âmen bad twerking funnyâ
Was it bad?
The contrary lmao, I thought it was so good that it made me upset that Feige and co. stopped doing special presentations with unique styles
Got my expectations a little too high and then Quantumania and The Marvels happened
I wanted to watch that movie ever since I watched the second one so I kinda knew it was gonna be a banger lmao

I watched Deadpool and Wolverine for the only reason that them two were in the film. Iâve been disappointed constantly with marvels output and have given up hope with them. This was a pleasant surprise and i feel is what Marvel needs to do more. Every deadpool movie has felt like breath of fresh air and this one does exactly that, i loved the self deprecation of the studios state and thought overall the film was proof that marvel is still capable of making great movies
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was fantastic as well i just hope they continue to make good films like them in the future
you can just post this in letterboxd instead of here man
ok mb
So? Whatâs wrong?
This thread is for movie discussions and that's exactly what they're doing
I think the TVA idea was the worst thing to happen to this universe
Too many different variations of time management
Every new movie/show they introduce a new multiverse concept and it's so exhausting lol
You got multiverse of madness, TVA, time stoneâŠ
I agree completely, introducing that in Loki was fun and i originally liked the idea but i didnât realize it would be so overplayed to where every film has something to do with multiple universes and time line managing
Like I want to hit my head whenever I hear it because itâs a time killer when they give so much exposition to catch up with these concepts.
Thatâs why itâs overplayed, it was meant to ease you in to this idea so thereâs a perpetual series of films with the same classic characters we grew to love.
Essentially creating a hell of constant fighting because these worlds are never at peaceâŠ

This is the instance I agree with the Crisis of Infinite Earths approach.
Just erase it all
Yeah it creates lots of opportunities for new plot ideas that unfortunately become repetitive which it already is
I will say, hot take: I found trap more enjoyable than thisâŠ
The theater staff awkwardly having to wait for everyone to leave
have yet to see trap, is it worth?
At face value no
Imma join in on the trap sweep within 12 hours
Itâs a VoD type film.
I should go ahead and sleep so I can catch the morning showing
alright well i found the premise to be pretty intriguing but i felt the same with Longlegs and that disappointed me
Itâs actually very stylish in the sense that from the pov of our lead we are as amazed by all these people collectively moved by the artist.
Music is ok but I like the shot choices
Shot on film too
nah nothing im just tellin hime
Okay, well iâll check it out then whenever i have time
I miss David Leitch ngl
Guys I have to admit
Movie is genuinely funny
It's grown on me since I watched it lol I think it went up a whole star for me
That "The Proposal" joke ended me lol
Itâs definitely grown on me too
Itâs hilarious movie fr
When Dafne Keen shows up in #DeadpoolAndWolverine she shines her light toward the big beating heart of the movie. Dafne and Hugh standing next to each other is a pinch me moment. It stands on the shoulders of the LOGAN film which is both a masterpiece and a giant.
@slevydirect and I have been living with her every day in the edit and sound mix ...
definitely gonna get this movie on 4k bluray when that releases, apparently theres gonna be some deleted scenes and a gag reel
It'll likely release in October or November I bet
yep, in for Christmas
Hugh Jackman doing ADR for #DeadpoolAndWolverine.
Read our review: http://bit.ly/DeadpoolWolverineOTN
Hes a pro doing this at this point
the vids of him doing adr for logan are super entertaining
bro knows how to do adr
Am i the only one who thought it was crap?
you'll be in the minority
i mean 79% critic rating, 96% audience rating
the vast majority of people who watched this movie liked it
They got everything they wanted (except mcu characters besides happy interacting with the titular characters) and the movie itself knows that so
super easy crowd pleaser
Yeah thats the thing i hated lol
Fan service fest
Read a review that said the movie is the equivalent to finding a box full of your old toys, enjoying them for a bit because of nostalgia and then disposing of them after the effect wears off
im glad they didnt do a bunch if mcu cameos, this movie was meant to celebrate the fox universe so its a good thing that they stuck with those characters
Yeah same I'm glad that was the route taken
I'm sure people were kinda disappointed they didn't meet up with mcu characters and locations
i mean some people were thinking/hoping they would visit the final battle of endgame
which, just to be clear, is a stupid idea
wtf would they go there???
exactly
like what would they do there
there is zero narrative purpose for that
not to mention the shear cost of even getting a few of the actors back to recreate that scene
that alone would double the movie's budget
it was a stupid theory
I meannnnn, no way home was a bunch of random bull crap too, why did the doctor strange spell just bring spider man villains to the mcu
because the spell went wrong
I know it was people who knew who Peter Parker was, yet some characters brought over don't know
i dont really see how thats related to what i was saying at all
no way home brought back old spider-man characters
but they did. They all knew it was Peter right before they died, and that was the moment they were pulled from, right?
They can do whatever they want to at this point is what I'm saying ig
deadpool & wolverine visiting endgame would be like if in no way home, a bunch of old iron man villains showed up
im honestly impressed with how contained and personal they kept the stakes and story
it was still at its core a story about deadpool
What did sony venom have anything to do with knowing a peter parker
venom's multiversal hivemind
I think Venom knew
Hes not even brought just for funs, he's probably a major plot point in the next mcu spidey movie because that's how the symbiote arrived in the mcu
idk I just find the whole thing including him being really stupid
which is why he was in the credits stinger
that's sony for ya
Idk how the morbius post credits scene gets made fun of and criticized but not no way home's
I find it more ridiculous and lazy
because people liked Venom
shoutouts to happy for being the only character in this movie who got more than a few minutes of screen time who didn't curse
it's always the smaller side characters in mcu movies I care the most about out of any character like happy, ned, and luis from ant man
always glad to see them appear
Not the only one, but more people liked it than disliked
dont think I heard him curse that much in the Deadpool Corps scene
yeah most of his audio cant really be heard over the music
probably an alternate take
Gambit said one joke in the movie
And that was the funniest thing in the movie
For me
I did too
56/100 meta critic rating.
Itâs riding high due to it being new
It will have those dumb essay videos in about a few months. Similar to TFAâs fate.
which is only a little lower than the first two
deadpool movies never did well on metacritic

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine

Not wishing this, itâs just I noticed the naysayers and supporters have very different approaches to this film. Naysayers call it too mind numbing while the supporters say âyou donât watch a Deadpool movie for the storyâ.
Which I have to say the latter talking point is a bit weak considering how emotional itâs trying to be here.
Thatâs not even out yet
Sorry Secret Invasion
Good :)
Secret Wars will be messy
Because itâs multiverse steroids
I couldnât keep up with the TVA
So with a larger conflict involving all these alt worlds is going to get even messier. At least the monitor multiverse of the DC universe is more direct and approachable.
Even though the flash movie also made little sense when it shows worlds colliding.
if theyre gonna have a bunch of characters, at least they have the russos
i have my issues with how certain characters were handled by the russos, but they absolutely know how to handle a large ensemble cast
I hope itâs Infinity War and not End Game.
endgame's purpose was to sort of wrap up an era
i feel like doomsday/secret wars wont be trying to do that
Yea while telling a pretty bland story.
well i wouldnt be surprised if secret wars ends with a soft reboot
but you would need to be another level of shitty to somehow make secret wars bland
Having Thanos as the baddie that has no experience with the Infinity Wat saga outside of Guardians 1.
Weâll see
When will that shit be out?
Oh in three years
Jesus wtf is up with the new Captain America budget
Looks like Harrison Ford has a bloated budget curse. Like Dial of Destiny the Brave New World movie cost 375 MILLION DOLLARS?!
And Indiana movie is the third most expensive film of all time.
Its not the new budget, its the whole budget. So many reshoots.
that movie is NOT making its money back
but
theyre willing to spend a lot because it needs to be good
cap 4 is going to be one of the most crucial movies to set up the next avengers films
because its literally about sam wilson being told to assemble a new team of avengers
cap 4, thunderbolts, and fantastic 4 all lead up to avengers 5 and 6
which makes sense, considering theyre the only future mcu movies coming out before avengers 5
spider-man 4 might make a late 2025/early 2026 release date
but other than that its just those three
gee i hope nobody in the cast is beating people up in their spare time.
Doomsday needs to be good because we still have a lot of storylines not converged enough to feel like a team up is ready
Maybe they shouldn't pay Ford like $100 million for acting
Yea. Iâm kinda shock they still want to work with him considering heâs not a sole reason for a box office draw.
Like Indiana Jones 5 having made less box office money than the budget

Ford is cool for the 40+ year old crowd
Marvels is not bad at all
I actually just rewatched it in HD for the first time and yeah it's not bad
It has a villain issue but it made Captain Marvel more of an actual character with a personality instead of a wood plank
There were interesting ideas with the villain that weren't properly explored, but the film didn't overstay it's welcome, despite being like two hours long the pacing was very breezy, the interactions between the three Marvels were very fun to watch. And Iman charmed as Kamala Khan
Iman carried that movie so hard
She did I can't lie
But the renovation they did to Brie's character was much, much better and made me like MCU captain marvel
youâre in the minority with me!!
Not a difficult thing to achieve
yeah thats a good assessment of the marvels
Yes it was bruh, she started off as a wooden plank and ended as such
I noticed this chat barely mentioned Weasel and TJ Miller. I know the good reason for it
Because TJ Miller is a hack
The marvels was a decent entertaining film
Not sure why it got so slated
I think thereâs been a lot of dumping on the MCU; not everything has worked but if anything i feel the casting announcement for Doom is a bit desperate
I think the singing bit really didn't help
You hate fun if you didnât like Deadpool & Wolverine but you hate bad movies if you didnât like The Marvels
Looks like I hate fun.

I got a question then
Rq
Why did that work, and this didnât?
I felt this had better chemistry between the cast members that actually coincided with the story
They actually have a sort of arc with there friendship have some sort of conflict and resolution thatâs help me by the chemistry between them
Hell itâs similar when to Kamala Khan when you think about it, with Deadpool being a lower tier hero meeting his idol as he navigates the realityâs of his his hero really is.
Calumniating in this fight scene where they have a fallout between them that actually challenges there views of each other, unlike the marvels where Kamala khan seems to have no problem watching her hero leave a bunch of people for dead.
By the end when Wolverine offers to give his life for Wades world, I actually bought it
Idk I thought it was silly fun and fun lol
Actually she did
It just wasn't entirely verbal
Where?
When Cap was telling Kamala to get on the ship so she could leave Kamala was saying that they couldn't leave the people there and Cap said they had to save who they could. And then after that Kamala went quiet and was glaring at Cap for a while
And thatâs it
Nothing else
There could've been more to it but I think the fast pace is to blame for it
Last less then a scene
Nah it comes back up again when Kamala initiates the escape to that random planet
Not enough, this should have been character changing
She just watched her beloved hero let people die and all we get is a glance and she forgives her a scene later
And thatâs it
There is actually stuff in the comics about Ms. Marvel challenging Captain Marvel herself and it hasn't come up yet cause it's a single movie that isn't focused on Kamala only, it's focused on three other characters
Something like that would come up in a more Kamala centric movie or her own show
To bad it wasnât on the movie
So I canât really take it into consideration
Yeah I'm saying the movie wasn't only focused on Kamala so they didn't have room for that kind of plot development even though it would've added a lot to it. All I can hope for is a second season of her show or a more Kamala centric movie
Because she is a popular character and people do like her
And thatâs one of the reasons why it think itâs a bad film, with hallow characters
I don't think that makes it bad
Kamala Khans actress carried
I also actually think the opposite
Hallow characters donât do it for me.
The most 1D character is Monica. We didn't get enough time with her. But they gave Captain Marvel more development and she felt more like a character to me
It felt like more of Captain Marvel's film if anything
She got the most screen time and character development
What development?
Her whole thing was abounding Monica is easily resolved
Thereâs no resentment that is slowly throughout the film turns into forgiveness
She blames herself for what happened on Hala (Hela?) and thinks she shouldn't be allowed to go home until she fixes it or makes up for it.
And Monica doesn't forgive her right away
BecauseâŠ.she did mess up Hela
She wiped out an entire planet for personal revenge
And again? Kamala khan is cool with it
Not really
Wdym
She didn't do it on purpose though. She had no idea killing the AI would result in a civil war
She legit instantly forgives her when sheâs told
Yeah because she didn't do it on purpose
And it's not like she handwaved it either
She's been actively trying to make up for it
I think it is
I mean look at it from this point
Instead of having any sort of emotional conflict with this plot point they write something where Carol is as morally vindicated as possible
Itâs boring
Not really
Yes really
She blames herself and fixes the mess she created
They don't forgive her
And sheâs feels bad
They do
They just recognize that she's helped them out
But nowhere shows they forgave her
We don't even get a scene of them interesting on Hala
She just goes into the sun and fixes it
EXACTLY
No emotional resentment
No conflict
No âyou donât wanna meant your heroâsâ
Idk, maybe have Kamala khan have some conflict with she idol
That's what I'm saying though that's a genuine fault the movie has that was the result of them going super fast with the pacing and also the movie focusing on three characters
Have her begin to see that peol arenât perfect? And Carol isnât all she thought she was?
And that makes it a bland movie
And it makes Carol just as wooden as when it started
We're not really gonna see eye to eye on this so agree to disagree
And if they want to push her to the forefront theyâre not doing much they except making her a bland powerhouse.
And thatâs fine
You know something they shouldâve gone into a least a little more?
She has a BF now right?
Whatâs there relationship like, why not have something where Dar Ben takes him hostage
who has a bf now?
How do you say "let's f**king go" in French?

these characters can still be violent but not so graphic to be considered cool and badass
i disagree. all PG-13 depictions of Wolverine have been failures in my eyes. Sure you can show a less violent version, but why when you can show him in the proper R rated setting?
Bloodless massacres are boring
If you say so
The Wolverine was great as PG13. It still showed blood and scars
Same with the cartoons and old comics
to you. to me it was a failure
not brutal enough
Seeing Wolverineâs flesh getting burned was pretty crazy
Logan was better than all of them
i think the R rating had something to do with it...
No itâs because it had a better story
PG-13 Logan wouldve sucked tho
No because the writing would be just as good
nah, you cant not show what an over the top violent character does in pg-13. the R rating secured a more faithful Wolverine story
Logan was made to be a story of survival and love. It wasnât made just for goreporn
of course not, but there is gore and it showed for the 1wst time what wolverine is and how he kills
This is why PG-13 sucks everytime even on horror
The other movies showed enough. The only difference is that there wasnât as much blood and gore but there was blood in the older films
Jaws
im glad you liked them
The strong violence is what make Wolverine so special because he doesnât care about everything
Poltergeist
i personally hate every pg-13 depiction of Wolverine
I prefer Deep Blue Sea over Jaws
Smarty filmed, fast-paced, stylish, and all above spectacular and a classic masterpiece to watch, Deep Blue Sea is an huge summer popcorn blockbuster nonstop adrenaline action-packed sci-fi creature feature horror absolutely epic, suspenseful and terrifying with satisfying graphic shark kills, gruesome gore and chaotic explosions that turned int...
rated PG and is basically a toddlers 1st 'horror' film
The face ripping scene alone wouldâve made it an R rating today
nothing in Poltergeist is scary to anyone above the age of 7. and it would be pg-13 today, no chance itd get an r rating
Even with all the blood and body horror?
Today would be PG-13 for violent content and terror
Iâve barely seen any PG13 movies today with blood and gore besides Dr Strange 2
Try The Shallows
Had bloody images
The Impossible 2012. Though brief, you see Naomi Wattsâs leg peeled off.
If anything the further we were from the Super Bowl Janet Jackson incident, the less stringent the MPAA was with films rated PG-13.
I remember that shift with The Lost City of Z (2017) it featured cannibals, WW1 and a bit of nudity that was PG13
Suicide Squad is a notable change of this but that film was a bit shy of showing off some extreme deaths like Slip knot.

Not rumoured
What just a fan cast?
Just a fancast and Ryan himself saying heâd be interested
Itâs real
Donât you encourage people
Honestly I wish they would stick with the kid who did young Johnny Blaze in the Ghost rider movie.
Looks more like Johnny Blaze.
Probably gonna go see this on Wednesday with friends
Im so excited
Still havent seen the second Deadpool though
Probably will watch it tomorrow
From what I remember it didn't have any impact on this movie's plot except you wouldn't be familiar with the "Peter" character
I still really like this film but Iâm putting my stars down to 3.5

No is it Earth-10005 Laura or void Laura?

The question was whether they are the same
I really wish the movieâs climax wasnât just generic marvel climax because theyâre trying the excuse of âwe made fun of it so its ok if we do it tooâ
People will be like "that's deadpool's thing he can get away with it"
I kind of feel like it isn't though because generic marvel climax is 'punch the baddie till they can't be bad anymore' and this was very much the self-sacrifice route
erm, how about he makes clever ways around a cliche or trope he points out instead of going along with it anyways
like, Cassandra was not a baddie that could be overcome with physical force.
i'm confused as to how deadpool & wolverine had a "generic marvel climax"
name one other marvel movie where the villain is defeated with the power of hugh jackman's abs
it kinda reminded me of the gotg ending
and that was definitely not a "generic climax"
not to mention that the first deadpool movie ended with a big action sequence
was that a generic marvel climax too?
The Last Stand
But is there a movie where the hero fights a bunch of alternate versions of himself?
no there is not
