Hello! I’m Marc I’m a music producer that makes scores on the side. Ive never actually had a score placed because I don’t know where to start 🤷♀️. I love the process of film making, visual and auditorial arts and would love to start helping out smaller, short time film makers with their vision. until I can get a professional piece of paper that qualifies me to look for larger roles, I’d like to build a portfolio.

You don't need a piece of paper to work in this industry, just start making stuff
The biggest thing is networking. Go out and find filmmakers. See what projects they have coming up or are working on. Then be proactive with keeping up with them. Once you're involved, be on top of it. Make sure you're constantly working hard and don't be flaky. Remember, it's a people business, so if you're not a person people wanna be around, you're not going to succeed

Sounds fair enough. Will definitely look around. I live 2 hours from LA so I can always look out there and there’s prob millions of other ways I can do that too but I appreciate the advice. You a real one. 🫡
