#Film Directors with Near Perfect Filmographies

i guess this is going to favor people with short filmographies because more movies is more chances to make boring ones. and because more movies takes longer to see them all. i cant say Kurosawa because i've seen around 10 of his movies but theres still 20+ more and they could all be terrible for all i know
so i'll say Kubrick just to get it out of the way
and then i'll say Satoshi Kon because he died after directing only 4 movies and i think theyre all huge bangers.
i'd also say Tarantino. love him or hate him or his approach to filmmaking, i think with all his stuff he pretty much made almost perfect versions of the movies he was trying to make
Kubrick just because
if George Lucas had retired, he'd average out pretty great. THX, American Graffiti, 3 Star Wars
Christopher Nolan
melville, john carpenter, william friedkin
Sad nobody mentioned William Wyler. 11 Oscar Nominations
Are you guys truly cinephiles
Sergio Leone, Luchino Visconti
oh and of course David Lynch
or for that matter David Lean as well
Mohsen Makhmalbaf
Ridley Scott
David Fincher
Michael Haneke
Tarantino
Tarantino at his worst for me is just like meh/alright so I’d say that’s nearly perfect
Tommy Wiseau
that's certainly an opinion
Hayao Miyazaki?
David Fincher
malick
Alien 3, Panic room and The Game definitely drags his filmography a tier below
Great Gerwig has been fairly good across her filmography
No downers
Tarkovsky is the biggest name that comes to mind with near flawless ouevre
Those are his old projects.
Doesn't mean those aren't part of his filmography
I mean Mank isn't any good either although the cinematography was great
Chris Marker
