#š„Five Nights at Freddy's
1 messages Ā· Page 2 of 1
it was blood
barely any blood
it was a fair amount
which is good
yes
and that reveal of afton was pretty obvious
Yeah
Still funny asf that the animatronics are controlled by a doodle
nah nah
thats actually my main problem with the movie. they gave the main villain a human body.
when they revealed, all the tention went poof
cause it makes sense
well
heres the thing
the fact they are controlled with a drawing truly reflects how what they see is reality
maybe something like a show would work
and also that they are children
like I said, FNAF is like Dune '84
Too much story for it's runtime
well
hold on
lets think
nah imma sleep
would you rather the main villain be a emotionless animatronic
or a actual person with real motivations
not emotionless. but an animatronic, yea.
and a person who has connections to the main character
the only thing
I have to complain about this movie
if it was his soul, that couldve worked.
it's still a 3/5, which is pretty good
they didnt explain him
which is probably for the better
I'd say it was a solid 8/10
good actors
good story
good amounts of blood
not enough character development
honestley good villain
Is just bloody images not satisfying graphic gory onscreen
It will be 0.5/5 to me worst 2023 movie and worst game adaptation alll time
worse than the original mortal kombat?
worse than the original mario movie?
On horror movies it deserves to be graphically gory to the satisfaction and scares
No it doesnt
mother, you are alive!
cause that takes away from the plot
not really, no.
The movie handled it well
Congrats to our director Emma Tammi. #FNAF marks the biggest opening weekend for a horror film directed by a woman. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/five-nights-at-freddys-box-office-opening-1235630735/
a slasher movie does, yes.
Bruh, FNAF is literally for children. This aināt SAW
Worst than Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City
Emma Tammi get away from my horror genre
Worse than postal?
Yes
(jk i loved postal)
army of darkness is practically a pg-13 movie, didn't really have any blood
ok so you rated the 2021 mk worse than the og
oh yeah true
i'ma be off for 3 hours gonna watch Dogville brb
it's an average pg 13 horror film
I think since you are being quite rude, you should get away from our horror genre
the red door is a bad pg 13 horror film
It is not average
I didnt like meghan
Average would mean it is scary to any degree
There is not one tense or scary scene here
Bad pacing, unrelated new main character, messy plot, and bad acting
I still upset how that movie screw the whole lore from the games despite some people called scaryš
we have different criteria for the same genre. so our difference in opinion makes sense.
its seperate from the games
Iām with @latent pawn side
oh wait
If your criteria for horror is that it shouldnāt be scary then you might be thinking of the wrong genre
i put story above everything else
I can still like some PG-13 like Lights Out, Mama and The Boogeyman
And even that isnāt good so now what
You werenāt scared during the opening scene with the security guard where the Freddy Fazbear mask approaches him for 30 years while making sounds of fear so unconvincing that even Dhar Mann wouldnāt approve them?
Smh
Yeah I wanted a dumb, silly, fun movie
agree, it isn't good. it's average.
shut up, you legit only have a third grade level of education
and now, this piece of shit might get a sequel.
They just keep putting stuff out there and refusing to explain anything
let's agree to disagree lol
That is not a good story
i call this movie average/fine yeah.
Glad you enjoyed it! <3
Okay uh
it was worth the time
Billion dollars FNAF 2 incoming
can someone take care of @sudden orchid
Why?
My friend Miguel here is a big fan of horror me too
So it is disappointing
And fans of fnaf so
All of the story is in the Lore videos. Tbh, I think they could have just made a compilation of lore videos in the theaters and it still would have made money
They just needed to add the Big Band song
Just bc I love my satisfying extreme gory horror
You have to have an understanding outside of the movie to understand the movie
Not really good storytelling is it
FNAF fans are blind freaks I heard they are defending the movie from people who didnāt like it
Itās the next phase of blockbuster movies. You gotta do your homework before the movie so you can understand why so many people are clapping at seemingly random things
Theyāre here doing it Nevermind just elsewhere
And weāre now in the phase where instead of select moments, they make an entire movie out of that
cause the movie is made for fans
Hollywood is fresh out of ideas to make money, so BIG IP is paying big bucks
Now whereās the MGS movie
I want to see everyone in the theater confused
most fans enjoyed the movie
And I was expecting a good darker tense scary 80s style horror movie
its not 80's style
So far Iāve actually not spoken to anyone over 13 who liked it
But I would like to
im 14
loved the movie
That explains a lot
Animatronics and neon light visuals
do you like the games
Well that make sense how you are defending that shitty movie
do you understand that the movie is not intended for older audiences
Everyone kiss and make up
Dont need to get offended that people don't or do like it this is kinda silly lol.
Interesting that the only people defending it are 12-14
dawg you cant even speak with proper grammar
be quiet
stay quiet
Donāt they teach you to be nice in school
Seeeeeeeeee I told you
guys guys
frede fatbear lmfao
Oh my god my 8 years old nephew will be very but very disappointed
You should actually be considerate of other people's opinions and not try to judge people based upon age alone
I didnāt judge you on age alone
you just did
Your opinions made much more sense after knowing that
Yes, thats how intended age ranges for movies work
Here is some fun news
Markiplier was going to be the security guard that dies at the start
That would've been too silly
not a good idea to have a cameo be that important to the plot
Itās not important to the plot
i know
Iāll be honest with everyone I actually donāt care if you guys like it or not is just for me was a instant 0.5/5 and Iāll never but ever watch this movie again even Iāll not buy it on Blu-ray I rather buy Meg 2: The Trench on steelbook
Ok, but what if the Blu-ray steel cover is like really cool?
It lights up and everything
We dont care about your opinion either, you haven't given any actual criticism
TouchƩ
Unfortunately thereās no a unrated cut Emma Tammi confirmed
If anything MatPat was just nice to see after how long he's been covering the game lol.
I found it funny how he was directed to speak like it was a Game Theory episode
Like clearly that was a direction choice right lol
doesn't raise the rating or anything, just a lil comment
Yeah
it felt silly
@sage brook
but thats fine
Nah, I just think MatPat canāt act
Lol
Whatever he didnāt need to. He got the biggest pop in the audience
Thatās Mortal Kombat reboot
He's a theater kid
Like he was Stone Cold Steve Austin
he was literally in theater
Me not reading
My b
MatPat and Markiplier need to be the co-leads for the next one
the matpat cameo was in drastic contrast to the following sequence
Throw in Ian and Anthony from Smosh
Maybe RWJ
And uh
Who do the kids like
Logan Paul
And one of the Minecraft channel guys
I'd shoot myself on the spot if i saw his ass in any movie i watched
Ngl i can see them having a fun energy together, even though the movie would probably not be great lol
Oh ew no logan
lol
neither of the Paul shits
it'd be fun
for
thisd
like
I can see it being quite silly
ye lol
Markiplier making a cameo in the fnaf movie would probably result in me being in shock
its for the better he didnt
matpat was subtle
somehow
he definitley gave great waiter energy
@latent pawn my uncle told me if the movie is absolutely bad heās gonna buy Meg 2: Trench on Steelbook if he found it on Walmart
Not a bad steelbook, but the FNAF one is gonna be in the shape of a pizza
ooh
Might have to cop that
I canāt wait to see Markiplier first movie Iron Lung definitely will be the bloodiest movie of the date finally a hardcore rating R horror
Iām just joshin. There is no steelbook news. The movie is still in theaters
it wont be r rated
it will have blood
but calm down
its also
hear me out
Unrelated to the discussion at hand
Iron lung will be a
Once Markiplier knocks it outta the park, he can become the next Iron Man for the MCU.
Why not? YouTuber movies are well known for their quality.
I am very curious to see Iron Lung, i wanna see if Mark can pull it off well
It'll definitely make bank bc of his fanbase, which means he'll get money for another film most likely
Yeah, Bad quality most times
hell
theres only ever been a few
Markiplierās next film should be I Am Bread: The Movie
That had better be animated lol
Why am I not a Hollywood producer? I need to get off of social media and make my fortune selling these ideas to the source. All while puffing a big cigar and crunching the cast and crew
Iām gonna be stinkin rich
Like Steve Jobs
MAKE MORE MONEY
FOLKS
NOW
That will be better
I have it
You really donāt like extreme gory horror right?
I love saw
I love the gory horror
however i like it to have a story also
a good example would be final destination
Gory horror
and a message that resonates throughout time
Final Destination is an interesting example for good story
You can not escape death
i know
its a
Odd
movie
however
its good
enough
I liked it
good blood
(Unecessary most of the time)
and honestley has a great use of tony todd
better than candyman
(I DID NOT LIKE CANDYMAN)
Despite I already have it
I mean, no way I was gonna dislike this as much as scream 1
I hate scream
Could Freddy Fazbear beat Candyman?
its too meta
Nooo
I mean
Tru but I don't like it just because of that
yes
Candyman especially goes after kids so
Absolutley
Which makes it sooo good try The Cabin in the Woods
freddy fazbear would beat candyman into the ground
And Freddy Fazbear moves as slow as anything
both are notorious for not working on animatronics
The only way you can be hurt is if he brings the cupcake
Otherwise youāre getting a really slow animatronic slap to the face
it'd be a really boring fight
What did Bonnie even do to that man while inside the closed room
Nothing interesting Iām sure
strangle
Oh god Mando we are on the way to theaters another emotional damage š
At least now you know..
How come these guys perform bloody kills but have zero blood stains on them afterwards
ghost magicv
Me and my cousin but today is only the last day I watch FNAF
oooooohh š»
I think it'd be an interesting plot point
They donāt even have tomato sauce on themselves from all the pizza. Maybe Freddy hides some napkins in his hat
if the blood was on the characters
like
imagine that end scene
except abby sees the blood
and starts running
it ruins the deception of the characters
however
it feels
natural
i think
if william afton was swearing
it wouldve been nicer
What was the point of willam guy kidnapping the brother if all he said he did was he killed him
That's literally all he did
well
idk
Don't give me game lore reasons I want explained in the movie reasons
like
Weāre gonna get more info in the prequel: Summer of ā87
i actually dont know
theres no context in the movie
do you know why kidnappers kidnap?
I'm like "bruh all this drama caused in the movie, they find out the killer, and his reason was 'I just wanted to kill this random kid I found at a camp site lol'"
Yes, but you canāt explain why in a non R rated movie intended for younger audiences
But thereās the implication
Lol so funny
What a stupid villain
Ehhhh
You canāt bring in a villain with no setup and expect anyone to care
I wish he had more screentime
Itās not effective when theyāve been in one scene
Literally
yeah
Youāll only find it good if you play the games/familiar with the lore
If you donāt then youāre like
Who is this why do I care
maybe if they went back to the tape that he played in the begining
This is intended as part of a 500 movie franchise. Weāll get full details eventually
They use the fact that thereās a pre-existing lore as an excuse to not develop any characters or explain anything
There will be an entire movie dedicated to the Bite of 87
its made for the fans numbnuts
Why you in that dumb heavy suit you not a superhero villain, just push the guy then he can't get up
Starring Vin Diesel
Thatās not a good excuse
yeah it is
Itās made for the fans so we wonāt explain anything and if you want to get anything from the film, you must do all your own research
It depends on that too much where it's a actual huge accessibility flaw
you dont just go watch a sequel to a movie and not understand the plot
This is not a sequel
its an analogy
The sequel better have another director like James Wan or Fede Alvarez
The difference is that a film should still set up characters irrelevant of whether itās an established lore or not
They canāt just throw in a character and say well you have an idea of who that is
James Cameron has shown interest
When did one night at freddy happen
Well the movie takes place in 2000. And movies usually take 2-3 years to make
So
AHHHH
1987
IT ALL MAKES SENSE
I thought mario movie kinda had that issue with random unexplained stuff suddenly happening just because it's from the game enough, but this one is a lot worse with that
And this is coming from a lifelong mario fan
Im honestly not even a super big fan on this franchise
Mario had the benefit of being based on games everyone has played. But no one has actually played the FNAF games because theyāre too scawy
all i know is from a couple matpat vids and stuff my gfs told me lol
never played any FNAF
The gameplay ain't that good I feel like a super large majority of fnaf fans just watch other people play the games and/or only like it for the lore
Lol yes
They do anything but play the actual games
Thatās exactly what happens
I donāt think thatās even exaggerative
Most people download the game and then chicken out after like 5 minutes
Or get frustrated because they donāt know how to progress
With any luck, theyāll remake the games, and will include Josh Hutchinsonās character
Uh whatever his name was
Rick?
Tom?
Bob?
JosƩ?
It was Mike
Fun fact
Why does it feel like a lot of movie protagonists' names is mike
And what has she done?
Number one box office movie of 2023
She bout to knock Greta off the throne
Nothing with horror
@latent pawn my god never seen sooooo many kids on theaters š¦š¦š¦
Well thatās good news for theaters because childrens love the candy
If owners were smart, they would have double priced theater candy for this weekend and next weekend
And obviously, have military grade security to check bags so none of these brats have the gall to sneak in Halloween candy
Really funny that William Afton puts on the suit head and pauses to say "I always come back" masterclass in screenwriting everyone
I guess the real FNAF was the friends we made along the way
He was just bluffing. The next Phone Guy will be played by a new actor. Freddie Prinze Jr
After that Michelle Gellar
You get the picture
What do you all rate the movie
Those suits look so fake but itās legit because the creators went the whole country mile to make these look so close to the graphics of a video game that released before half of the average viewers were even born
Thatās damn impressive
But uncanny
Kinda like those cosplayers that make themselves look cel-shaded
6 or 7 haven't fully made up my mind
4/10
I think i'd lean towards 6 though i'd have to see it again to make up my mind
I also gave it a 4/10
Same
Leaning towards 7 cus of major nostalgia
Everyone who gives it less than 6 is a fkn hater.
thats probably why i'm leaning towards 6 since I've never liked the franchise that much
That seems to be the consensus. And that anyone who ranks it above a 5 is a child. Internet film discourse!
Oh wow. I lived for fnaf
YOU WOULDNT GET IT

I would give it a 7/10
you mean Twitter discourse
While the film definitely skews younger, I could definitely see a lot of older folks seeing it and enjoying it since this is maybe the most accessible horror film Hollywood has put out in decades.
A- CinemaScore for Horror is unreal
Box office is off to a strong start
HAHAHAHWGSHWGW
And my guess is second weekend viewings will still be strong
FUCK No
I'm just sad they didn't have the Music box song.
If not this one, the next one starring Markiplier
And Minecraft Steve
Minecraft x FNAF will make a trillion
Jesus Christ
Btw what was the reason this took place in 2000?
agreed
Well technically that has nothing to do with fnaf 1. Itās introduced in fnaf 2
šš
3/10
Goofy ass flick
Ok mister boring
If this wasnāt named fnaf you would like it bruh
Because 2000 is the year that makes the most sense for Josh Hutchinsonās age. Since a lot of the film revolves around the events of 1987
Which is huge in FNAF lore
I mean in terms of the script
The setting and time period was barley utilized in the horror
At all
This shit wasnāt scary
We have scenes where they are building table forts
the movie was not scary at all
Like itās a Chucky Cheese commercial
I disagree. The lack of smartphones in the movie futureproofed the film. FNAF will now be timeless. This is this generationās Wizard of Oz ||
||
Thatās not the only way to utilize your setting
I could say āBut thereās not smart phonesā in a film that takes place in 1989 and that doesnāt make it a good film in terms of its time period
Nothing about this film felt like it took place in that time
Nothing
No work was done there
No at the end of the night in the first game when the power runs out when Freddy is at the left door.
Listen, man, the movie cost 20 million dollars. They werenāt about to spend much money on the setting anyway. Iām just amazed it wasnāt shot with iPhones
If you had asked me when this takes place without the altimeter stamp I wouldnāt know bruh
NOT AN EXCUSE AT ALL
You sure?
It cost more than 20 million
Anyways itās not a big part of it
Jesus. Really?
Iāve seen shorts
How much?
The budget range is 25-35 million (So not a lot more but still!)
WIRY FWR LOWER
does it need to be? you can have setting without needing to use every quality of the time period
Less then 20,000
Oh okay
True that. But now it is named fnaf
Itās the most Blumhouse has spent on a movie
You just proved my point
Blumhouse opened the vault for FNAF
They really said, you can 10% more than what we usually spend
Iām sure they donāt regret it because itās making bank
You hear admitted to liking it because itās FNAF
Yes but why should that matter. Itās fnaf and thatās a factor to why itās enjoyable
FNAF 1 power runs out, jumpscare warning!
Thatās sad bruh
āMOVIE GOOD BRSAUSE IT HAD FREDDYYā
This is me but with Freddy Got Fingered
Wait a minute
Tom Green should play Purple Guy in the next one
dude you said he'd like even if it wasn't named fnaf.
of course someone who liked the movie would agree with you
And he said ātrue that, but itās named fnafā
And he proved my point
your point being what exactly? someone would like something even if it was named something different?
Buddy
FNAF discourse might be the most passionate film discourse Iāve seen this year. Maybe Ben Shapiro will make a review and people will mine memes out of that. Get him to recite the Living Tombstone lyrics
My point that the hes only praising the film because itās based on characters he likes
Not based on the films actually marets
this movie makes no sense
And wants to say āAnyone who gives this lower than a 6 is a haterā
MatPat will make a video explaining everything soon. Donāt worry bro
But thatās just a theory!
No dude, youāre just a fan boy whoād be entertained by keys
Wait
i can see why a lot of people would love this movie and why a lot would hate it
its very different then what a lot of people expected
You can like the film for that reason but donāt come up me for not liking it
Accept youāre biased and respect other opinions
i personally liked it, i'd give it maybe a 7/10, but i totally respect if someone doesnt like it
And thatās fine
I was a fan at one time
no one targeted you, stop acting like you got singled out
i can like the movie AND acknowledge that its filled with plot holes and that its not scary at all and that the final climax is kinda wasted
And I thought this shit was ass
wish the film was rated r that spring lock scene wouldve been better, considering how violent it was depicted in the game
Idc if I was singled out
for me, its not enough to dislike the movie, but for a lot of people it could be
it would have been nice to get an R-rated cut for those moments
I hope they cast big actors for the FNAF mascots moving forward. I feel like they should be voiced by celebrities. Iām thinking Bryan Cranston for Freddy. Awkwafina for Foxy. Taylor Swift for Bunny.
Golden Freddy, maybe Morgan Freeman
HAHAHAHW
You know what
It just happen
And you know what else
I think we should drop the horror
And make this a fun goofy kids film
its funny cause i know the lore for this game but that "i always come back" line was cringe
Like the people calling critics haters donāt even understand what worked about the game in the first place
I mean, thatās basically what this one was. I donāt think my 5 year old self would have been scared by this
Might as well make it goofy all the way
They donāt understand tone
They donāt understand how a horror story works
At all
Prob got a f in English lit
Because the story they read werenāt about Iron Man
Pathetic
and the amount of dream sequences was so repetitive. like why would you tell a story in that way. i was like damn another dream sequence.
ILL SAY THIS
The concept
i think the movie was well directed, well acted, well shot, and had great production value... but they need to get an actual screenwriter for the second one, the creator of the games does not know how to make a coherent story
the tone was fine, it sometimes struggled to make the animatronics scary in action scenes. But it managed to handle scene to scene tons well.
It never felt like it was pulling a disney and smashing apart any kind of serious tone with comedy
Of a guy trying to get into his subconscious and trying to see the face of the guy that took his brother
To each his own
i actually really like the concept
yeah that part was
A stupid taxi joke
strange
I think the film needs to get better at handling it's scary scenes if they go for a sequel.
I liked the writting but a lot of the time the frights just weren't always hitting strong
if they had at least one scene where the main character was playing in the office like the game, with the mechanical doors and lights, that would've been cool, but dude was asleep at the cameras the entire time.
HAVING THEN COME TO LIFE LIKE ITS A DISNEY FILM
playing with the kid
Goofy as fuck
Bullshit. This is fucking lip service. PUT MARK IN THE NEXT ONE AS THE LEAD
NOW
NO WAAAAYYU
HAHAHAHAGSGA
Couldnāt take a thing seriously
This film couldāve been cut down
So much info was so basic, yet over explained
im gonna say it.............willys wonderland is a better fnaf movie......HA i said it
Is the concept really that good? I mean, other than as a self-contained horror film. But even then, how you gonna stretch that out to 90 minutes? Flashbacks, which they did employ
I agree that they completely under utilised the fear of checking the moniters for the machines and trying to find out where they're lurking.
I really wished they played around with that, since they had perfect chances to do so in the first 3rd
I mean the concept of like the guy trying to dig into his mind to remember the face of the guy who polled his brother
And even the shit with the kid ghosts in his mind
If they leaned on that
Used it well
Maybe it couldāve gone farther
i just watched the video where he revealed that
In my opinion, this works better as a video game. So I hope someone adapts this soon. Although I know movie tie in games are terrible
One they stay talking to the kid and hanging out with her
All the mystery was gone
All the horror was gone
i think a lot of the characters and their relationships were written really well, but it just needs scary scenes. its not fnaf without horror
You know what would have been interesting
If he woke up, and she was talking to them, but they would never move around the main character
That way there is still this level of mystery
The film treats them more like fandom mascots, then horror characters
I agree, I think the writers knew how to write characters and a decent story, they just failed at achieving proper frights.
there were so many ways for this movie to be better, i dont know why but it did feel like a fan film all most, and not a hollywood film
Felt like I was watching someoneās devianart come to life
fr it felt like a fan fiction
Donāt agree
The aunt was filler
I canāt say the kid really had character
Not much was going on there
to be fair I think for a film based on a property like this, it should feel like it was made by fans and not a room of people who care nothing for it right?
Hey man
You can do both
Itās not mutual
how was the woman responsible for the main characters conflict filler?
Itās a balancing act
how did the child lack character? what fell short for you?
All the scenes with her were generic asf
You could have had him find the custody note in the mail
Itās a very generic concept
yea for 8 years + on the development for the film, it feels like the story was unsaturated and too simple, comparing it to the games it makes sense, but it doesn't find that middle ground, it still feels a bit lackluster
Stretched out
right and when the babysitter dies who would he call to look after his sister?
Instead of using what we know about our he cliche to speed up exposition and leans on something that doesnāt need to be leaned on
EVEN MORE OF A PLOT WHOLE
I disagree. You need to find the right people for the job. Fanboys let their obsession for the work get in the way of the story.
But letās be honest, did any serious director want to fucking adapt FNAF? Lmao
THEY NEVER BRING THAT UP
I dunno
THIS GIRL IS GONE
NO BITE OF 87 MENTIONED EITHER, AT LEAST DROP SOME EXPOSITION ON THAT
Youāre telling me the cops of this town have so many bodyās in this place
And donāt have the FBI in this sh
Like come on man
The Bite of 87 deserves its own spin-off movie
I don't think any "serious" director would have made an honest attempt at it, since it would require digging into a mess of lore and real shit games
it's only a plot hole if we follow your idea of removing the babysitter
When Bonnie fell over I had to pause and laugh at the film because it lost me
Cringe
a hint at it would've been cool at least, to set up a spin off, or perhaps a sequel/prequel
Youāre not listening
And youāre not understanding
the terminator thumbs up took me out lmaoo
The person that died cannot just ādisappearā there would be major consequences to killing someone in a small town
If only the film introduced a cop character who has strong ties to the pizzaria and the desire to help keep the deaths under wraps
Youāre telling me the rest of the family was ok with the dead aunt
ABD SHE GOT STABBRD
STABBRD
DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A COP GETS STABBRD?!
DOESNT JUST GO AWAY BUR
Like youāre not helping ur point
you can caps lock all you like it's not making your point any stronger
So refute it
Just blew youāre point out the water
Nothing I said was wrong
If you STABBRD a cop
Thatās gonna get looked into
Exactly. I think any director with more experience and less open-mindedness wouldnāt have understood it. āWhat? Theyāre animatronics? Like Chuck E. Cheese? But theyāre alive? Ok, but why are there these flashbacks? This sounds dumb. Can we just make it a spoof?ā
If you kill an aunt WHOS TRYING TO GET CUSTODY OF A CHILD
Thatās gonna get looked into
Come now
Her lawyer didnāt question shit?
???!
Come on bruh
Get outta here
Gn
Where the hell did afton come from
was he just waiting there for them to show up?
Like no set up
No nothing
Just outta no where
His ass shows up
Thatās not good writing
Period
Go to any college writing class and theyāll say thatās a fuck up
What your complaining about is that the movie didn't show further consequences to her getting stabbed and would then push the movie to add an extra few minutes onto the run time.
However the woman who was injured is not conscious and the duo who knew what happened may have told the cops what happened, they may not have.
It doesn't change the events of the ending as the cops would check the pizzaria and and discover animatronics and the owners corpse inside a bunny suit.
So why would seeing that be a necessary addition?
But that didnāt happen
The film doesnāt show cops cleaning op the place
And tearing it down as a safety hazard
that's true, that's a major plot hole, an aunt who was in a legal battle for custody is killed, mysteriously, how is there no consequences, why does everything go back to normal like nothing ever happened. wouldn't the main character face legal issues for being the one who would be the main suspect of this. i guess the film wanted you to forget that
What about the aunt zen
They just gonna say āOH SHE CAVED HER SKULL IN BY HERSELFā
Or however Freddy killed her
Come on
You can like the film but donāt sit here and tell me Iām 100% wrong
āWe killed get so the problem goes away o
Not how that works
At all
Again lets run through the events.
The cops investigate her death.
The evidence they have would be:
-A little girl who went missing at the time of death.
-A brother who was at work at the time of death with a cop as witness
so outside of a report and short term interview period nothing would happen to the siblings, so I once again ask why would that be important details to watch happen in the movie?
Maybe theyāll deal with it like how the 2nd Iron Man dealt with the repercussions of the first movie ending with Tony Stark revealing his identity
FNAF 2 begins with them mid-trial. Lol They can even get Bob Odenkirk to play a sleazy lawyer
Nope
The entire
Place
He was at work at the time it happened
They would have easily linked it back
And even so
The aunt
Is no way
NO WAY
WALKING OUTRA RHAT
how would they link it back?
NO WAG BRUH
Maybe the Aunt became the Auntie Christ
please explain
Number one, her cop car is there
Dash cam
lmaoooo have him play some lawyer named 'saul'
Number 2 that gotta explain why her taser has used carriages
He was at work with a cop and video evidence of being there.
please explain how you could pin it on him.
Cartriages
Not saying it would be pinned on him
fnaf + breaking bad confirmed
It would be pinned on Freddyās place being a safety hazard
F* I gonna get emotional damage I canāt stand this movie anymore my uncle got bored and my nephew very disappointed
Secondly, him taking her to the place would be a problem for custody
How? they would have no clue that freddy killed the aunt, it was invisible to anyone who wasn't the child
Knowing these things killed the aunt
I meant that for the cop woman
The aunt died in such a way where he head was caved in
So either theyād say it was him
Or
the cop woman was the worst character by far
Oh yeah
again how could they pin her death on him?
Dog shit
they had trouble in the past
a literal exposition device with no development
She said he was dangerous
He wasnāt safe^
He has history of rage fits
Seen at the opening^
Soooooooo
Beat the shit outta a guy
you need to pay more attention.
He was at work, under surveillance and with a cop.
How could you pin it to him?
Who was clearly just trying to take his kid home
READ THE CHAT
Holy fuck
You just skipped everything I said
^
^
i was pleasantly surprised by how character-focused the movie was, but it would have benefited greatly from more scares
^
Because what you've explained is a cops idea for a potential motive, which would fall apart when having to explain how he was in two places at once.
for a game about jumpscares, this had the worst jumpscares ive ever seen
I 100% agree. I also would have liked it if the machines had less paranormal powers
Wait, so he has to admit he was there at Freddyās right?
So the restaurant would have to get torn down
i think they showed them moving too much
For being a safety hazard
Pick one
Either he was at work and woman got hurt
Or she was attacked randomly and stabbed by some crook
- ALL THE PEOPLE THE AUNT SENT
Died
Hmmmmmm
So either A
They tell them what happens
Get Freddy and has friends destroyed
And b
They tell and lie and he goes to jail
I don't have to pick one.
I'm saying we don't need to see the consequences of either action becuase:
-The Aunts death can't be pinned on him, so the cops can't arrest him. So seeing what becomes of that investigation would be pointless runtime
-We don't need to see what becomes of the pizzaria, due to Venessa's stabbing because once again all they'd find is a serial killer dying in a broken death trap.
Both sequences would be pointless to add in, when the movie was about the siblings and not the aunt or Venessa
I just told you why
How itās possible
You canāt just say ānun uhā
You have to actually refute it
You seem to be very energised about this subject and I can respect that, but I think your rush to put your points across is leading to some confusion on what we're saying.
If you read carefully you'll see I've been very clear with you and made a consistent case for why I disagree with you.
So at this stage I think it's best to assume that we just aren't speaking on the same wavelength and leave the discussion where it's at.
I had the same thought but honestly I think it's more so that they didn't have them always moving in the right ways for when the scary moments are meant to start.
Also I think they we're really proud of their animatronics and due to that were unwilling to obscure them in the shadows.
Which really hurt the ability to make their attacks scary
Josh hutcherson is so fkn smash
With dark hair. As Peeta Mellark with blonde hair he was meh š«¤
Other people in the chat understand my points just fine
You havenāt made a single point to refute my argument
All youāve said is āThey canāt pin the murder on him ā
Iāve told you why itās possible
And you respond by saying āThey canāt pin the murder on hon0
At this stage it feels like your being deliberately inconsistent.
If you want to claim that you don't understand my points then thats fine, but don't misrepresent my arguments and don't double back on yourself just to act like you've been consistent.
This conversation you switched between talking about the aunt and Venessa on a whim.
Attempted to claim that the aunt and pizzeria should have repercussion's for the main characters and I have answered why seeing those repercussion's would be a worthless addition.
Now I have offered to assume no malice on your end for this and to just assume we aren't getting each other.
If that is not satisfactory to you, we can take this conversation outside of this chat and have it 1 on 1 so everyone else can have room to talk.
No I never switch, those are topics from the beginning. Now Iāll say this I got confused on we were talking about as both became the subject of the larger point being, the plots dismissal of there deaths/injuryās is not only implausible, but inconsistent
Other people in this chat have acknowledged my points, Iām not speaking into a void, and this point tbh. Itās a you problem. But I agree we should probably stop so others can chat.
A perfect example of the communication problem that is seemingly happening. We both feel like the other isn't listening to the speaker.
You can reject any responsibility towards that situation if you like. I'll be glad that we can let it rest for now.
Are people that aren't in the business really gonna care at the end of the day about that
Chucky said that line better and in a not cringe way
So tru, needed more cupcake and more silliness
i think that could definitely be the case
they made incredible animatronics that can move really well
of course they would want to show them off
I think thats fair to be proud, but pride got in the way this time and it definitely hurt the movie, despite it's positives
i agree
The fnaf film accomplished something thatās never been done
It made the chronically online leave the house for 2 hours
false
they just watched it on peacock
the "dream theory" book killed me
i had to pause and contain myself
How does that even connect to the film
Oh wait the dreams Mike has
I still canāt believe they actually played the living tombstone in the credits
In a bad way
I just know those cinemas smelt bad
My friend is seeing it extremely high tonight
Which is probably the only way I would watch it again
I rather buy a steelbook or Barbie movie than that shit
C'est d'la merde. š
Had no idea walmart carried those 4k steelbooks in store
Tall boy
This person is right
Saw it
I wonder if they will do movies on the rest of the series. If so, Markiplier better make a cameo in one of those or better yet, all of them because he's the king of Five Nights at Freddy's!
Seeing those repercussions wouldn't be worthless though
The aunt died, there's a dead body in the house
Maybe he wouldn't be convicted of killing her but at least we need some resolution for that subplot because we spent more time on that than we did on fucking William Afton
Yeah after 8 years of them going "we gotta get it right" this ain't it
Even though the movie was kinda mediocre. I still love the animatronics/suits dearly. It was breathtaking to see them live action
And I love the effort that blumhouse did to make them 1 on 1 accurate to the game
An acknowledgment of her death by the end, sure. I can agree that would have helped.
Iām just objecting the idea that itās giant missing piece of the story that we didnāt see someone get arrested
It was nice they didnāt pull a Hollywood and try to change their designs.
They probably shouldāve tho
Because now youāve got animatronics that look like game designs and now look a bit dodgy in the environment and when they move
Five Nights At Freddy's Movie is out... I have been waiting so long for this. Welp, here's my thoughts.

Get that trilogy
Wasnāt this a game first? And for some reason, people thought this will be a great idea for a show? So no surprise if the ratings is 2 out of 5
The power of gen z and the FNAF fanbase as a whole
If blumhouse ever considers parts 2 and 3
They better and further improve from this film
This is definitely what they wanted and expected
Just like with mario
Yeah I mean Jason Blum has been on this for 6 years now so he definitely wanted this
BOX OFFICE: #FiveNightsAtFreddys debuts at #1 w/ a $78M opening weekend. That is..
- The highest opening for a horror movie this year
- The 2nd highest opening for a video game movie ever
- Biggest opening for Blumhouse ever
- The biggest Halloween weekend opening ever š±
- The 2nd biggest opening ever for a film debuting in theaters and on st...
Welp its definitely gonna become a franchise that will be milked to death like mario now
Itās so funny how the cupcake has a kill on screen than the animatronics
And I felt like they lied when they didnāt do any creative kills with the PG-13 rating
Like happy death day (from the same studio as blumhouse) had some very creative kills
FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S Movie BREAKDOWN! The FNaF series is HUGE with eight main games, six spin off games, 19 books, and a new game, Five Nights At Freddyās: Help Wanted 2, dropping in November. And the story presented through all these games is⦠less than linear. But thatās always been part of the fun! These games drop little bits of lore thro...
HUGE congratulations to the whole team behind FNAF. My 13 year-old son is a mega-fan, and this delivered everything he hoped for. Very grateful that I got to share this gateway horror moment with him. #FNAFMovie @blumhouse

Who?
Mike Flanagan very renowned horror director
The name sounded familiar
Peacock is crashing
How can audiences give this 85%...
oh holy shit this movie did well
we gettin that trilogy for sure
It showed the thing they recognize and that's enough for many people ig
- spin offs and prequels sooner rather than later I bet
I mean, if there are sequels, i hope they fix a couple of things. Like the rating.
Same thing happened with the Mario movie
i mean hey thsts fine, people can like what they enjoy
lmao
Some of the camerawork is well done but damn this movie was pretty boring
The Five Nights at Freddy's movie has finally been released after 8 years of production issues, and it's already causing arguments over it's quality and more pointless debates about film criticism and fandoms. Let's discuss.

Apparently Markiplier was suposoed to play the guard in the intro who gets killed
"Just watch the film and don't worry about a percentage of people disliking it"
Amen Cartoonshi
Cartoonshi does a great job here explaining the situation
That's what i tell alot of people...
Five Nights at Freddy's director Emma Tammi has said in a recent interview that the animatronic props "did have a life of their own at times," and tells a story of an eye twitching without any action from one of the puppeteers. https://bit.ly/40h8czG
Kids lol
Hutcherson felt like he was phoning it in.
The script for this movie was such a mess.
Mhm
They should've called the movie
Dreaming at freddy's
shrug at freddy's lol
Wait the animationics werenāt cgi?
2023 campy horror movie recepie:
-Young child with spunky attitude
-parent or parental figure for that child
-titular monster
-biggest asshole in the movie dies
-scene that is a little too campy but is somehow the best part of the movie
-sequel teasing ending
Now bake until perfectly mid
The campy scenes made a lot more sense in here than in megan
That dance sequence felt so force just so that the movie could get viral attention
What you didnāt enjoy the rendition of Titanium
That was also just so random and out of nowhere
The movie takes itself a lot more seriously than fnaf, and there was no build up for those scenes so I'm just like "huh????" instead of enjoying the camp
ah lol
idk i enjoyed them subjectively lol
I also had big "huh" moments during fnaf but at least I'd expect that type of stuff while watching
Can someone give me a video explaining fnaf lore, I know the surface level stuff but I need like, a major explanation so I can make sense of the overall thing. And it cant be too overly simple but it also cant be like 5 hours long, maybe a 5-10 minute video explaining it all

fuckin hour long
Thatās the shortest youāll get if you want the full lore
And even thatās not the whole thing
theres an eight hour video of all the lore
Half an hour in the movie
Man the acting is atrocious
And the script
Saw that Scott (the OG creator of fnaf games) was involved in the story and script for this, which makes so much sense
Involved is an understatement
He wrote them
He had co-writers so idk to what extend they get the credit
He wrote the script and then some people came in to āshape itā into more of a movie
I assume they slept on the job or something
Did it took like 8 years in development because of that?
Man this is boring
And it's so repetitive. Like this is peak breaking, "show don't tell"
How did Fnaf's rip-offs, Willy's Wonderland and Banana Split, ended up being enjoyable compared to this
Because Scott kept rejecting scripts
It makes you question that if this is the one that finally got him to accept after 8 years of rejecting scripts
How bad were the others!?
Now I also wanted to know lol
News articles said it was studios who rejected them, but did I misread those or was it Scott twisting his narrative?
It is Scott who has been rejecting them
He has the ultimate power of Final Cut on this and was saying no to everything they showed him for a while
Makes sense
The movie did well and Scott is now a film screenwriter for more movies. Ugh
Rubs me slightly knowing what kind of person Scott is and the fans loved to defend this movie
Itās annoying because he isnāt a writer
He didnāt even come up with the intricate lore for the games, he just liked the fan theories and took off from there
And also he did a good job with the atmosphere of the games, but on standard storytelling he's just bad at it
He's like David Cage 2.0
Thatās why he wasnāt the greatest choice for a screen translation
Fans will defend this by insisting the lore and fanservice are important
While assuming the other co-writers disrespected that
I mean theyāll be blinded until they grow up
Can only hope that the endless sequels and spin-offs that follow this are somewhat better
As long as they keep Scott out of the writing department and involvement with future projects, I'm ok with a Fnaf movie being good and this ain't it
So? @ripe sparrow
its boring af
the equivalent to take a sleep pill and watch a FNAF ASMR roleplay on youtube
My mind kept wondering off while watching it
my mind tried it's hardest to enjoy it and still was unable to
i am not gonna be stuck in this echo chamber of irony and shitposting and refuse to admit this is so critically flawed lol
what echo chamber?
echo chamber just means you ignore everything and concide with your own stuff all the time
which is what i am feeling with FNAF
seriously the fact that i gave this a 2 was generous as fuck lol
extra star because cool practical animatronics
sets
and looks kinda pretty
Only 0.5/5 to me
looks average af
FNAF is average to mid for me
I better watch Eli Roth Thanksgiving to wash my brain from that awful movie
i gave this a higher rating cuz i had literally no expectations
was pleasantly surprised when i found out that this movie wasnt actually dogshit
true sometimes dogshit movies are more entertaining š
Not in this case unfortunately
yeah it would be better as a "so bad its kinda good " but dont fit that unfortunately
Average is a compliment
maybe
Bonnie is the most aggressive one
Glad heās having fun
