I totally disagree because the Batman movie character is very much grounded and bringing that character into a world with Superman and other supernatural characters wouldn't have worked...hence we are gonna have a different Batman that suits the character in new DCU..

Also, DC has one big advantage over MCU and that's elseworlds and ability to tell standalone stories.. The Batman can be a trilogy and we are already getting a Penguin spinoff show which looks great. It should stand on its own.

A shared cinematic universe has to be consistent alright, on basic levels otherwise it makes no sense.

Regarding the batman, it was made much before the new DCU was even announced.. Reeves didn't want Batman in shared cinematic universe as well. What you are now saying is that Gunn should basically incorporate that story into new DCU and Gunn had no part in it.. that's not a reboot of DC.
