I'd agree, though I haven't watched the entire movie, it kind of bored me and kinda bummed me out
it's very good, but yeah people sometimes miss the whole point of the movie
Overrated asf
Ofcourse, the 2nd movie is overhated however - most hate it because of the sheer cult following of the first
And the 2nd has nothing to do with the first
Totally agree, it was an alright satire for me but certainly not the masterpiece some proclaim it as
I have to disagree. Itโs vision has proven apt, thus an undeniably well- aged film. Iโd suspect it could be a timeless script, very well if not perfectly adapted in 2000. Other films totally have more substance though
nah its still great
It wasn't for me either but I think I've been spoiled with so many good movies, I might have had an impossible expectation for it.
Good movie, overhyped by people who think Patrick Bateman is a sigma unironically lol
I think the movie isn't at all bad, and the setting makes it seem like every 90s movie set in an office. It's just highly praised by edgy teenagers who love the "masculine" and "sigma male" thought process, meanwhile they don't even bother to see that American Psyco was made by a woman ๐
Yeah, ever since the rise of gigma males and ultra super mega xtreme turbo chads. Probably haven't even seen the damn movie though, and would probably need subway surfers or gta to be playing underneath to satisfy they attention span, anyone who's been on tiktok before y'all know what I'm talking bout ๐
absolutely
Nah. Still as good now as it was back then. Consistently & deservedly celebrated. Still the most innovative, original 'slasher' of this century. Will stand the test of time, with good reason.
it really is amazing. what is the point according to you tho
yes it is a really cool movie. it leaves the viewer with so many questions tho. i think i would preferred it as a book ins.
The film is based on a book. American Psycho, by Bret Easton Ellis, published in 1991. i hope that helps
Im currently reading it
Ah, nice! Enjoy, enjoy โบ๏ธ๐
Yep i know. The difference is a book doesn't have to ans all the questions unlike a movie does
I don't mind ambiguous endings in movies! As long as it serves the overall experience. But I understand your preference
do you prefer books over movies? prolly otherway round
I prefer films for entertainment, but i also read a lot of books for education purposes (so basically non-fiction. I never read fiction! ๐ฎ lol) how about you?
i prefer fictional books not really for educational purposes
but i do love films
I enjoy a good autobiography especially
which ones your fav?
I read a lot of books about film! ๐ Easy Riders, Raging Bulls by Peter Biskind is a good one
ooh ill search for it surely
are you majoring in a film course?
No, I have studied film in the past though. You?
i just like movies. not like mcu but good films with a good story line and amazing characters
Ah yeah, that's nice. A bonafide cinephile then!
