EEAAO
I respect your opinion but I loved it
I seriously need to rewatch it but watching it in theatres gave me a massive headache and the "Let's hug it out" moral felt cheap

Just respect the opinion and disagree
Respect it, don't respect it, idrm ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ

Dunkirk
I feel like im losing my mind by all the praise it gets, not even sure If I saw the same movie as everyone elseā¦
Rushmore and Moonrise kingdom
Itās not a bad movie by any means but there are better war movies and better Nolan movies.
I can see why people love it I think its a really good movie. 4/5. Its definitely more of a technical film though
There are modern buildings in the background on the beach in certain shots
Technical as in cinematography and sound design
And I love how Nolan prefers practical effects and other methods instead of CGI but adding a more accurate number of soldiers on the beach wound not have hurt the film by any meansā¦
I liked it for those reasons. I dont care about historical accuracy or realism at all unless it is stupidly wrong
Yeah thatās fine, Iām just coming at it as someone who does view that as relatively important.
Especially since the film doesnāt really have a message itās trying to get out.
Thats fine, but you have to admit the cinematography is great
A pretty basic "war is hell" message
The new All Quiet On The Western Front isnāt that historically accurate, but itās historically authentic, in fact itās actually more intense and dramatized. And thatās all on purpose, it feels like a horror film, like when they see the body in the tree, and also the shot of the body hanging over the barbed wire with no hands and a wound over the mouth making it resemble a gaping smile is so freaky. Thatās āWar Is Hellā. Dunkirks message was more of a, āthis is an important event that happened In historyā. Which if thatās the message it should have been a little more accurate.
Oh the cinematography is great. No arguments from me, the dogfight sequence in the air was done so well.
Come and See
the breakfast club fucked up the ending
Cars
couldnāt agree more. most overrated movie ever š
Rushmore by Wes Anderson
Good Will Hunting
what do you mean Cars?
that movie was brilliantly made. they included so many weird things, there was indeed a possibility for them to exist.
these comments are filled with a lotta my fav TT
Thatās my third favourite everš¢
Ferris Buellerās Day Off. I canāt fucking stand that piece of shit movie that everyone enjoys.
Get out
I can appreciate the effort but thatās about it, really
I freaking know right, all the favs are here TT
There's nothing all of us humans can agree on
Anything by Denis Vanilluxe
Matrix
Super Mario
Anything with Lord of the Rings
wtf
I agree with Lord of the rings š«£
Too many to say
...
šÆ
Iāll give you one. Spider-Verse. Everyone loves it and thinks itās the like a 9/10 or even a 10. Itās just alright, a little slow at parts. Just kind of didnāt care.
Iāll give you one to kill a mockingbird
Oh hell nah
Raising Arizona is fucking overrated
Turning Red
Men
Cars
Eeaao

Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022)
ik what it means dude
its not overrated
joker and leon the professional
šÆ
Yeah Leon super overrated, not a bad movie but not as good as everyone says it is
be quiet

facts worst Coen Ive seen
Inglourious Basterds
Oh hell no
The film felt too much like a parody for me to take it serious. imo
Zack Snyderās Justice League
Moon was awesome
Unpopular Opinion--Pulp Fiction
Wow
Isnāt that the point? That itās satire?
I like the film alot But Yeah i have to agree, people say its like top 5 film oat when its not even Tarantinos best
IMO it just doesnāt do it for me. Kill Bill is my favorite Tarantino
I totally see what youāre saying and I agree
Yeah i understand that, i actually disliked Pulp alot on my first watch But i loved it on my second watch
Kill Bill is awesome But my fav Tarantino is Reservoir Dogs
Ooo thatās also a good one
You prefer Kill Bill 1 or 2?
@fathom dove 1 for the fight scene stuff but honestly I should just call it the Whole Bloody Affair because they definitely need to be watched together. It definitely feels like it was supposed to be one movie and then was split into two
Yeah it was supposed to be one movie at first but Tarantino made 2 parts cause he felt like it was too long to be one movie
But yeah i do agree, i like 1 more than 2 too

Most Tarantino films in general are overrated your right.
Well I was just saying that Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are his most overrated imo
Pulp Fiction 8.5-9/10
Reservoir Dogs 7-7.5/10
Basterds 8-8.5/10

Marker. @ruby vault is on Take 2!
mad max fury road
yes
Nooo
Every Tarantino film
At least Fincher has some non-overrated films like The Game and Mank but literally every film Tarantino has released has been rated highly, most of them undeservingly
The Wolf Of Wall Street 2013
ghost world
???????
??????
What are you exactly saying
Every Fincher film is very overrated
And Tarantino has highly rated movies it doesnāt mean that Tarantino is overrated
I'm saying that a bunch of Tarantino films don't deserve their high rating but then again to each their own
Marker. @heady mist is on Take 4!
Yeah ok some of them are overrated but not all of them
Se7en 100%
bro
You see, I still havenāt watched it, but you do have to wonder if itās actually a āgreatest film of all timeā type film, or a ārecency bias āgreatest of all timeāā film. Whether it was the fact that the Oscars maybe helped or not, still
I wonder if someone here said spiderverse
Possibly overexcitement, though I don't doubt some people genuinely have EEAAO as their favourite film
Maybe a teensy bit overrated but they're fine enough movies ig
The Dark Knight Trilogy, Alien, John Wick, Pride and Prdudice (2005), The Matrix
Most Overrated has to be Casablanca
Yeah we get it, thanks
you're welcome
Have to agree with prior comments with Avatar 1 & 2 being pretty overrated. Both are visual specticles but South Park nailed the lack of an original concept. Part 2 was also too long and had me checking my watch out of boredom throughout.
I always thought it was a little more than that
south park? what?
What?
I get what you're saying, but i mean...you cant speak for everyone.
Some people liked it legitly.
I know its just that right after you said "Now matter how people want to say its good, its bad."
that would make it a statement of objectivity, not a statement of people who liked it didn't.
Like someone who likes eating mcdonalds might say it's amazing quality food, but on an objective level it's not.
Who cares about objectivity when you're talking about your own appreciation, which is subjective.
not relevant to the point I'm making to you
Whatever, talking with you means you're always right and the world collapses if it isnt true. Leave me alone.
You cant say: "My opinion is that everyone hates this movie." You just cant.
Sorry about being a dick...your critique is all right.
Was mostly mad at Zenlock's interference, not you.
Why? Its ok if you didnt like it.
The batman
EEAAO, Interstellar, The Shining, Fight Club, Citizen Kane, 2001: ASO
Marker. @slate schooner is on Take 5!
I don't understand what the point is in being here to discuss films, if all your going to do is strawman every criticism of something people make.
It's a public forum dude, everyone has the right to respond to whatever they see fit.
I dont understand why when i'm explaining objectivity correctly to someone, you feel the need to interfere.
Its a public forum, everyone has the right to respond to whatever they see fit.
Asteroid City
Marker. @simple cypress is on Take 3!
I was just about to say
Also the entirety of Star Wars is overrated
You're right, especially Andor.
hmm never watched
Take SW and take away all energy and optimism, leaving the administrative struggle and the dude getting fired, moving back to his mum and waking up every morning to a bowl of Trix.
Plus, Diego Luna only has one face.
Well, not me. There's quite a few i look forward to. But i respect your stance.
Do you have any suggestions though? Anything to change my mind?
No. Like i said, i respect your stance.
Alright understandable
But i think the whole Ahsoka- Heir to the Empire thing is gonna be good, personally, if they do what i think they're gonna do. Which is bring Mando, Rebels, Luke, the whole post Return of the Jedi cast together for one big ass offering.
Just my opinion.
Ahh
I have seen the teaser for heir to the empire and I did sort of like it
Of course
its not out yet. what you saw was maybe the recent Ahsoka trailer.
Yup Iāve only seen the official teaser trailer
got a link?
I think it mightāve been posted a month agoā¦

ah. yeah that's the trailer.
So yeah. No matter what anyone says, this is psyching me up.
Is there really a difference between a teaser and a trailer?
Marker. @torpid parcel is on Take 7!
Awesome
a teaser is shorter than a trailer, shows less.
I get that but they technically are the same I suppose
this is the most recent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_1EXWNETiI

American Hustle

I don't keep up with who liked what or why, but Knives Out: Glass Onion was one of those movies where I was really confused as to why people dug it so much
For all the reasons I thought it was poor, everyone else thought it was great
It felt like a two hour marathon of having your intelligence insulted and your patience tested, where you were supposed to chortle with joy because an unconvincing billionaire's house of expensive junk got destroyed
Everything Everywhere All At Once was of a similar grain, where a lot of its material just fell short of making any kind of impact and it was geared too specifically towards a certain audience. The kind who'd get a kick out of seeing the daughter beat up two dudes with a sex toy that then gets, you know, visceral, and that's supposed to be cool as opposed to actually being a pretty horrifying shot lmao
