Really? Maybe I need to rewatch It
Actually, now that I think of it, first time I saw Alien
Petrified me for its entire runtime
Amores Perros was quite intense, specially me being a child and watching it for the first time. 😅 Most Iñarritu films make me be at the edge of my seat for the most part.
Prisioners was awful to watch on the cinema, I left the theater feeling bad about everyone in the movie. I even had to cover my face or look away at some bits.
But if I have to choose just one, I'll choose Deliverance. Made me sick.
Nope and Prisoners gave me a deep uncomfortable feeling
Peele and Villeneuve for the W
I need to see prisoners
Intense as in unintetially scary and possibly the scariest non horror film ever, come and see
I know this might sound funny but The original Conjuring movie and I remember seeing it in the theater and I loved it for all the creative jump scares and I considered it old school scary and still do but I didn't like any of them past the original.
Whiplash
The Coldest Game.
Terminator 1 & 2,
The Game
Arachnophobia, although it does have humour, some of those spider scenes.
Children of Men got me stressing
Uncut Gems gave me anxiety the whole runtime
I didn't even enjoy the film that much but it was very effective
Shouldn't this be in #1033473364267896853 ?
When I saw a quiet place part 2f or the first time, I was extremely tense. But now I have seen even more scary movies and the feeling I get from that movie is gone
I'd love to hear the other movies that make you forget about a quiet place
Events over the course of one traumatic night in Paris unfold in reverse-chronological order as the beautiful Alex is brutally raped and beaten by a stranger in the underpass, and subsequently seeks revenge upon her assailant. A simultaneously beautiful and terrible examination of the destructive nature of cause and effect, and how time destroys...
In the future, America is a dystopian wasteland. The latest scourge is Ma-Ma, a prostitute-turned-drug pusher with a dangerous new drug and aims to take over the city. The only possibility of stopping her is an elite group of urban police called Judges, who combine the duties of judge, jury and executioner to deliver a brutal brand of swift just...
for Irreversible:
The first thirty minutes of the film has a background sound with a low frequency of 27 Hz which is almost infrasonic (this sounds like a rumble/vibration), similar types of noises are at times used by police to stop riots. According to Gaspar himself, this could only be heard in theaters (which usually have huge sound systems/subwoofers) and not from headphones or regular home theaters. In humans, this noise causes nausea, sickness, and vertigo. It was one of the reasons people walked out of screenings during the first part of the film. In fact, it was added by Thomas Bangalter (from the electronic music group Daft Punk) to get this reaction.
Recently? Get Out
Top Gun: Maverick. I saw it in theatres and there is a weight, realism and sound amplification of the real jets used in that movie that just penetrates you. phew, actually got quite scary at times
A Serbian Film
The Silence of the Lambs
it was mainly that climax in the basement
i was metaphorically quaking in my metaphorical boots
Uncut gems, Whiplash
Requiem for a dream was intense
Yeah it is. I love that movie
Free Solo
Begotten has a wild first 10 minutes
