Fractions are simple the top number is the numerator and the bottom is the denominator when you simplify you find what both numbers share and divide them to make it smaller when adding or subtracting you need the same denominator so you change both fractions to match then add or subtract the top numbers and keep the bottom the same when multiplying you just multiply top with top and bottom with bottom and you can simplify before or after when dividing you flip the second fraction and multiply and if you have a whole number turn it into a fraction like 4 becomes 4 over 1 and always simplify at the end

Say I have like 1/4 times 8 that's just find a quarter of 8 right? And if I divide I'd take the reciprocal of 8 to 1/8 then multiply across right?

Also, people usually say "greatest common division" or GCD, not "least common division" or LCD as you write it.

Also, wdym by PEMDAS for simplifying fraction. PEMDAS is just a convention about how to read an expression. Specifically, it's about where are the "invisible brackets"

There is also no requirement to fully simplify the numerator and the denominator before simplifying the whole fraction. If you think like this, you will get stumped hard when you learn polynomials (i.e. when dealing with rational function, very common type of function that you get to deal with when you later learn limits)

You just have to keep in mind that to simply fractions, you divide both numerator and denominator with their GCD, and you can preemptively cross out common factors.
