You need to define what $\Gamma, g, G, \mu, m, k$ are first.

Alright

#

Or if anyone has any tips regarding how to solve Diff equations, please tell me

#

Because I do struggle at that and identifying what attempt I have to use to solve them.

primal remnant
#

And if I can't find anything or, if I can't solve it, this might really just be a brain fart

#

Ok, I think I have to swap something out

primal remnant
#

I guess we can substitute the
$g - G / \mu m$

With Newtons law of gravitation.

Maybe Γ(t) can be described as a function of instability with time. A dimensionless function which reads when a system collapses its stability.

k.. can be a spring constant

and then the rest is given in Newton's law anyways

if its gonna 'spike' at the certain time when the system collapses

#

watch out for its continuity and differentiability

#

can you give us the formula for $\Gamma$?

# native citrus 'function of instability'?

Man, in all honesty, I have no clue, I'm just trying to make sense of it all. Maybe it is just a brain fart and I should close this ticket, because I feel like I'm wasting everyone's time here

because rn im a bit skeptical

primal remnant
#

Me too

primal remnant
#

I sometimes do come up with my own tasks or examples just to practice, but this looked like something big idk

primal remnant
native citrus
#

what was your starting equation?

native citrus
#

what system and what bodies are under consideration here?

primal remnant
#

I was actually thinking of heavenly bodies, like, planets, objects of mass in space. Therefore the Newtonian law of gravity

native citrus
#

no but well what's the system in consideration?

primal remnant
#

I mean, I wanna dig into the juicy stuff that can be done with Diff Equations since they are also the heart of physics and I study theoretical physics. Tho I have some troubles here and there, but stuff like this theory crafting is insanely fun to me. But what can you do with it if you don't know what you have written? Or what the system is?

primal remnant
#

Might be a bit stuck rn

native citrus
#

what is m? mass of what? g is relative to earth?

primal remnant
#

Oh I see

#

Let me think

#

What would be the best approach here

timid sparrow
#

If you want help defining things you could assume g is gravity 9.81 m/s^2, m is mass 100 g, mu is micro 10^-6, gamma is the gamma function and solve for k but if you want it to be a differential you could have k=10 and solve for gamma as a function

primal remnant
#

Ok, I'm gonna go this through myself some more and see if I can make sense of it

#

Is it wise to assume for k to be a spring constant?

native citrus
native citrus
#

i've seen it in many problems on orbits

primal remnant
#

Oh interesting

#

Well, if you solve for the integral on the right you get something with sinh

#

Is it really possible to make sense of an equation like this without prior preparation on defining what each variable does or what your system is?

native citrus
#

in mathematics, not always

primal remnant
#

I see

#

Yeah ok makes sense

#

Well, I'll take your advice tho, I'll see what systems can be applied in this case and I'll see how it goes.

#

This was just a "f**k it we ball" type equation xd

And yeah I wanted to see if it's solvable and whatnot

primal remnant
#

However, I'm leaving this open, maybe someone looks and this and says "cool"

deft sedge
#

how did you even end up with this?
