This is also not an identity
I guess it works for pi but that's the only one I think will prove the identity is valid

Use the assumption method
Assume it to be cot 90
Then prove
That is not an identity as it does not hold true for all x
you can however, find the set of values of x for which the above equation is true

I'm in the Canadian cirriculum for Math 31 which is calculus and it's a non calculator course

If you can, take a picture of the text of the question itself, above part a... cause i'm sort of in disbelief that the question would ask you to prove a non-identity as an identity

It's something along the lines of "prove the following trig identities for all permissible values of x only by manipulating the left side"

They're talking about permissible values, not every single value
But they haven't provided the range of values for which these are to be proven...
I'm scared that I didn't do that section right. I struggled a bit on the first 2 questions on that section
