so, why is (1,7i - i) not 0,7i?
can It be that I forgot, to acknowledge the + between those two parenthesis?

They’re just keeping the value exact
So you both did the same thing, but you decided to round sqrt(3). In general it’s preferable that you keep stuff exact
And in any case those would be the same thing

Indeed. You want to simplify it usually when you can, but in this case $\sqrt{3}-1$ is the exact answer

Rather than use a Calculator
It’s not the end of the world and you can still use it to make sure you’ve got the right result
wouldnt simplify mean, to write the result down
If you ended up with something like $2\sqrt{3} - 2$ you could rewrite it as $2(\sqrt{3}-1)$.

since I mutliply contents of the parenthesis contents?
Theres is this weird concepts of taking the contents in a parenthesis and multiply them with a number (like exponent or a number before the parenthesis(hows that number called?)) .I ve got so many problems with that
