#How do I do this
131 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Yeah I have to find the mid point
use the formula M=((x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2)
I did
And I got wrong
Look
i am looking
Yes I'm learning
I would advise showing your working up front next time so we can check that immediately btw.
Okay well I need help to work the whole thing again
right so what is your final midpoint?
It's on the paper 3.2/2 and 1.4/2
yes you made a mistake with the y coordinate
And the answer has to be two like not one
well have you actually completed the division then?
3.4-2=1.4
the midpoint will be those two coordinates combined
you have written 2.4
OP has alrd said she wrote 1.4
Okay one at a time so I can understand
then OP, you pick your helper
So basically I have to fix the decision
I'll leave if you ask me to
Division
I'm sorry
Anyone can help
Idk
I just need help mate
Anyways so I have to decide 3.2 by 2
Or cna I leave it
Okay and should I use calcultor
Or learn to do division my self
BC I'm doing maths method
And idk if I should rely on calcultor
up to you. personally I divide numbers like this faster mentally, but this is algebra, not arithmetic, so do whatever you need to for these arithmetic stuff
Okie thanks I'll Divide and tell you to check it
sure thing.
,rccw
um
What
why and how did the 3.2/2 became a 2.4/2? that 3.2/2 was correct and you just need to complete the division
Oh Shi I did -1.6 +4.8 and I got 2.4 second time in my brain
Okay so 3.2 /2 is 1 and 1.2/2
you can do long division if you find mental calculation hard
I don't know how to do it
Anyways how do I find 3.4/2
And is the 1.4/2 right
Or can it be simplified
both numbers can and should be simplified down to one decimal number each.
it's 3.2/2, btw, not 3.4/2
if you can't divide mentally or by long division, unless you want to go through the trouble of learning it, simply toss it into a calculator for now as much as I hate to say it
Ok
I got 8/5 and 7/10
And the answer should be 1.6 and 0.7
So what did I do wrong
Calculators can show you the decimal form asw, iirc
have your calculator show you the decimal form by hitting the S <=> D button (if you have a Casio; otherwise refer to your manual or show your calculator)
oh god
thats a new one
what model is this
overpowered for your current syllabus but anyway
I should just learn how to do devision
,calc 3.2 / 2
Result:
1.6
,calc 1.4 / 2
Result:
0.7
I'm not sure but I assume you can open up the Standard menu which should then show you an option to choose decimal
you should look up your user's manual for more instructions on how to convert between exact/fractional form and decimal form
I tried to dl the manual earlier but heavens know what is wrong with Casio's servers atm
Thank you it worked
It's okay
How old are you guys
I just qualified for this server yesterday so I'll let you take a guess
well actually today
So are you 16
I have more questions but I'll work them and If I need help I'll put picture here
Your 18
again no
go to #rules and see the minimum age requirement, then come back and read this message again
Im 17, I recently graduated highschool
how am I smart
Damn
I literally just helped with a midpoint problem
Bro this why your smart
well you should definitely learn how to do basic division first before anything else
I will repeatedly deny this
also, I'm not a bro, just in case you meet some of the more gender-strict people on the server
Okay well your knowledge is acceptable if that's what you will accept
I just mean it as like
Sister but I say it to my friends
sure but still just in case
wait so are you done with this problem, or are you still using this thread for related problems? if you are you may want to retitle your thread so new helpers can immediately understand what you're doing at a glance instead of having to read this entire text wall for context.
Okay I'll just delete
don't delete
just mark it as solved if you're done
never delete the first message of a thread because that is additional context for people scrolling by as well
Okay it's solved I want to close
