What is q
we have to prove the equation that 1/y=1/x+1/z
can't you see the image?
Oh Q
||y/x =BC/AC and y/z=AB/AC|| would be better
oh you are 💯 correct
First prove triangle pac similar to qbc
And triangle rac to qab
( See order of triangle accordingly )
Then by cpst in both the similarities write sides proportional and substitute sides
Pa,qb,rc as x,y,z then find bc and ab
And at last substitute ac=ab+bc
Substitute value of ab and bc found earlier in cost of similarities
If you want photo of my solution I can provide
First prove that triangle PAC is similar to QBC.
By CPST you get x/y=AC/BC ------> 1
Then prove that triangle RCA is similar to QBA.
By CPST you get z/y = AC/AB -------> 2
Add 1 and 2 by taking reciprocal of both
That way you get y/x+y/z = AB/AC +BC/AC
y/x+y/z= AB+BC/AC
This gives y/x+y/z=AC/AC
y/x+y/z = 1
y(1/x+1/z)=1
So 1/x+1/z=1/y
Ok
