Im in 11th grade and for example I still don't remember how to operate on fractions and have to look up these
They just don't stay in memory

I don't feel confident instantly when I see fraction in a problem

generally with maths problems you dont really memorise the steps you just look at the problem and see if there is anything you can use to solve it

I always memorize steps instead of memorizing the core principles

For example I learned how to solve by perfect square the quadratic equations like a millionth time previously a week ago, and I don't remember it

I can do revision of a single topic for a month everyday, then I leave it let's say for 1 month, and I can maybe do 10-20% of what I could

hii i used to have the same problem when i was in high school, what type of questions exactly?

i think what u should do (which i mostly do for academic subjects like math/physics) write every step in order,use simple variables not numbers such as a and b, and then try solving the problems with the steps infront of u and keep solving the problems till u dont have to look at the notes anymore
u must solve lots of problems and by time u will notice they come repeated with the same concept

generally for me, i understand the content, do the questions at the end of the topics, then i do some mock test + revisit
