In the case of the first question x is just x and y is 2

n is 5

When expanding you write out the terms from r=0 to r=n

Have you been taught long division ?

If yes then you should see your notes / study material and solve the long divisions

Similarly for multiplications go term by term for eg
(a+b)(c+d) = ac+ad+bc+bd and so on
