Word of advice: Dont overthink in math. Probably the worst thing you can do actually. Instead, try to "understand" the subject at hand by using a approach only you can understand clearly. Appart of that, their is no reasons to be scared of math ngl

hi x to do well in maths just do lots of practice questions and don’t be afraid of asking ur teachers for help x don’t be afraid of asking people around u for help or questions about practice problems else youll be stuck for hours. confidence is a really important trait in learning maths so try to do lots of prac questions until u get it and dont get discouraged by getting stuff wrong! its a normal occurrence in learning and try to analyse what ur getting wrong so you dont repeat these mistakes in the next qs u do x

At your age, there's nothing wrong with just trying and see how far you get while following a dream. If at any point you can't succeed in passing further tests, you can still change course and study another topic that is available to you. At this point, no one, not even yourself can tell if you can make it to a math PhD or to uni or not

coming from someone who assisted the 10th grade with math (im in 9th💔💔💔), it is definitely not an easy subject to master in. But I do have tips that I frequently use

You have to build a tolerance on the more tricky and complicated questions. For this I suggest to read over a hard question, write down what you understand from the question and then try to work out whatever it is telling you to solve. Basically like breaking it down or some sort,,, continue doing this and you will eventually build a tolerance for the more tougher questions. LOCK IN🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 (also dont be afraid to go over the more easier topics to help you understand what you need to do in the more harder questions!! Once you master them, these will become like your minions that you can command around to solve those harder questions)

Other pieces of advice that I recommend: Resilience is key. If a topic is understandable to someone, you can definitely do the same!!! I usually try to mimic what other experienced people (especially professionals) are doing to solve questions, and finding patterns in the process

ive used to ace maths during my whole life , ive seen my classmates struggle, but after some long years i finally understand why PATTERN RECOGNITION, for subjects like math your brain must have a strong tolerance to pattern recognition , its not late to learn. personal recomendation is to try learning rubiks cube.

Another thing which is important when performing on math is this "look ahead", when u can solve the problem mentally without the numbers , just logically, this accelerates the logical steps so you know if you are getting the right solution or not.

Last but not least , understand , sounds simple but its the key , new subject , new formula , learn the concept , how can it be explained with simple operations , or based on knowledge you already have, do this for formulas , for every concept you find in math

become familiar with math by doing more math, and always take it into your hands to prove things yourself. study however works best for you, but study nonetheless. just keep on grinding

it helps to solidify foundations for a new subject before you move on to make sure you're confident, don't rush yourself too much

Try understanding concepts and how to use them to solve problems, i spend a lot of time doing questions which I'm stuck on for hours or even days, i also try to make up questions that could be solvable using said concept.
