This was a problem in the previous Georg Mohr competition (Olympiad candidate election) 1st round in Denmark. The answer sheet states that the answer is 2026 with no explanation. I cannot make out any sense in this answer. I believe the answer must be some terrificly large number involving polynomial theorem regardless whether the list is sorted or unsorted. I think the question is testing number theory in some sort, but it's just absurd to figure out. Any help appreciated.

hint:check for max sum where each throw results 6

2025 * 6 + 1 * 5

#

so use the 5 as a slider through all terms

is this also 2026!/(2026-2025)!/2025!

#

(binomial coefficient?)

#

oh yeah technically you're "selecting" 2025 terms to be 6

#

and a single as 1
