I know the sec is negative so it’s 2,3 but the bounds says it’s 2,3 so that don’t help me at all
Hiii
Well the problem they gave you is confusing to me but first thing I would do is consider that pi/2<x<3pi/4
So in your graph.. the x axis, range from pi/2 to 3pi/4
And the y axis range from -1 to 1
Because a trigonometric function won’t give you more than 1 and won’t give you less than -1
Do you agree?
@golden steppe is it mandatory to put the graph?
Cuz if it's not asked to you to do that then just apply cos(2x) formula?

What step are you on?
1. I don't know where to begin.
2. I have begun but got stuck midway.
3. I got an answer but I was told that it's wrong.
4. I got an answer and would like my work checked.
5. I have a question about someone else's work/solution.
6. I have completed the problem and don't need help anymore. Thank you.
7. None of the above
Trig question
why do pi/2
Oh sorry I figured it out because pi is 180 degrees not 90 so o was confused. Thank you tho. And I already took the finial exam so it’s fine
you can convert the sec2x into cos2x, and then use the double angle formula to convert it into cos x, and then using that you can find sinx and tanx
also the given range for 2x is kinda confusing but ultimately it will give you the range between pi/2 and 3pi/4, and the cos and tan will be negative since x will lie in the second quadrant where only cosec and sin will be positive
Because they want the graph and pi<2x<3pi/2
so the domain is pi/2<x<3pi/4
oh
