think of it as a fraction

first number is the numerator

second is the denominator

so from SOH you get sine() = opposite/hypotenuse

so you can apply this to CAH and TOA also

you can use this either to find the missing side (ex in CAH solves for opposite because it divides adjacent and hypotenuse) or an angle if you use the inverse of the function

so lets say you want to find adjacent a in a triangle

to use SOH you first need to know a given angle, a side opposite of that angle, and the hypotenuse

so to solve for a you plug in the values

so you can use cah or toa

depending on the triangle

so if you are using cah to find it
