hmm i see the confusion - for b you have different x values for b and f

it's b(4) and f(8) which are different values of x

#

because you are graphing the point of b(x) the x-coordinate of the point should be the x value being plugged into b which is 4

#

and f(8)-3 is the value of the y-coordinate
