We just got introduced to a parabola, first and second differences. The zeros, and the axis of symmetry. I have a quiz on quadratics and have been studying the stuff my teacher have us but still can't grasp anything. What we've learned so far are quadratics relations, the properties of graphs and quadratics relations, and factored form of a quadratic relation. I have no idea how to do any of it:-: I can't even do the introductory question for the first part of this unit.

A perfect squar is when what you can represent as (x+a) ^2
If we spread it we get
X^2 +2ax+a^2
That's what's called a square
We alway wanna turn the equation into (x+a)^2 +c

Y intercept is the point of intersection of the curve with the y axis
The y axis equation is x=0
So you substitute x=0 in the quadratic relationand you get the answer

If there is no real zeroes you can average the imaginary ones but you can also complete the square and just get it's the same as the perfect squar

First thing when you wanna get the axis of symmetry
You remove the constants
For example first one
X^2+2
Remove the plus 2
You have x^2
Make it equal to zero
You get x=0 as the only value that makes it =0
So the axis of symmetry is x=0
