#Confused on dice problem

how many do we have? 6^6
That's the total, that's what should be in the denominator
It would indeed
Think of how many ways there are to get 1,2,3,4,5,6 in any order
Its only that? Oh.. then how come sometimes we do like combinations/permutations in the bottom?
Not sure what you're referring to; it all depends on the specific problem
I'm sure if you practice you'll get better at identifying what kind of thing should go where
Theres 1 in 6 ways to get 1, 1/6 ways to get 2 etc?
Not quite
You might be thinking about it the wrong way
Say I tossed six dies and got 1,2,3,4,5,6 but not necessarily in that order. In how many ways can I line them up?
Uh many wayd
By lining them up, I'm ordering them
So there's a first one, a second one, etc.
How many can be first?
Once you've answered that, answer how many can be second given that one is already first
You should be able to continue the reasoning and find the correct solution
