Limit of a function, how to find a approximate from a limit of a function?
As you approach x=1 from both the left and right side, they converge to the same point, so you know the limit exists. So, you simply need to find f(1) to find the value of the limit as x approaches 1 for f(x).
so do I just have to go with my guts
because there is no indicator where it is but it does show me the approximate using my eyes
Yeah, there’s really no other way to do it unless you are given the actual function for f(x) which would allow you to calculate f(1)
Otherwise just eyeball it
I think it might help to add a note on the side saying this is what it looks like to you, and that you can’t be sure without knowing f(x) (just in case)
