Hello, i dont know statistics but i watched a video on geometric distribution to learn what happens if a 10% chance occurs multiple times and what the percentage is for something to succeed on any given trial. Luckily, this concept is pretty straightforward using no abstract logic and I believe i was able to calculate if something has a 10% chance of happening, then the chance of that thing to happen on any given trial would be 8.1%. Just need it proofed, thank you.

Do you mean the chance that the thing happens for the first time on the third trial?
If so, that's right
You wrote it out
x is the number of trials, and the probability of that is q^(x-1)*p.
So chance of it failing to the power of number of trials - 1) times the probability
