#Uil geometry problem

If you extend line OT it will go through the center of the smaller circle
yeah i think the intuition behind power of a point can help recognizing the similar triangles
Ok then let the center of the small circle be g. Then gpt would be similar to ovt. I still doesn’t see how this would give me enough info to solve for the triangle lengths
Would I find an angle or something?
Otv looks equilateral but I can’t just assume that
there's a pair of similar triangles hidden in the image
I still can’t find any other ones😭
Is the right way to think about this problem to search for AB/DC which is equal to the diameter of the smaller circle plus the diameter of the bigger circle minus the overlap of the two?
that is technically true, but there's a better way to find AB
I’m gonna look at this for a bit! Thanks
Im thinking there are two similar triangles where I should add the heights of the triangles plus the radiuses of each circle to get the distance AB
I think I may be thinking too small
Have you worked this one out yet?
No
