i did the working for both i cant figure out why you would get two answers
What is the interval of integration @echo island ?
you should have 2 values for h and 2 values for t
why is that
because the integration operation computes the area under a curve
i recreated a question from memory and im sure it was just this
between 2 points
but its just for the integral itself
like how dy/dx=1 integrates to y=x+c u dont need two limits to show that
that C is where the infinity of possibilities lies in the problem
but if u were told it passes through the point (0,1) u can plug in values to find c

i was basically assuming i didnt factor 1/8 from the start
and then you add it in and it cancels out
cause i did this question with a friend, i did the first and he did the 2nd way, i couldnt seem the right answer though

you have to put 1/8 outside the integral
it doesn't interfere with the integration operation
so is 2nd way just completely wrong? cause isnt another way of writing it = ln((1/8)(h-5))-ln((1/8)(h+3)) and then u do log rules
but how did 1/8 got inside your log in the first place?
assuming u dont factor it out does it not go there?

If you take the derivative, it won't be 1/8*(1/(h-5)-1/(h-3))
no that's how u calculate the integral if u don't facotr it out
