I am so confused. I understand how to do the testing method but I've tested all possible roots for the equation 0=(x)(x-5)(2x+1) -550 but it's not working. What's the actual way to solve it?

You need multiple variables

#

v= length times width times height

warped wedge

but correct me if wrong

ive tested them all i dont think its a whole number

#

so idk how i would solve that

have you tried adding 550 to the other side, aand expanding the parantheses?

#

then try factoring

#

or

#

i dont think factoring would work

#

so yoou might have to use the rational roots theorem

whats that?

#

like the testing the roots thing?

#

I've done that

You can use the cubic formula.
