so your questionwas 3x + 12 = 5
since this is a very fundamental skill that we need for this, we need to get the concept of bringing the right stuff to the other side
right now 3 and x are glued together, we csnt do anything with them yet
but wirh our 12 we can bring it to the other side so it becomes -12.
so now i have 3x = 5 - 12
so 3x = -7
3x is the same thing as 3 times x.
I want to get rid of 3, but its multiplication.
So when i bring it to the other side it becomes division.
x = -7/3.
that's your answer
when solving such questions try to get stuff to the other side, and ur x should be on the left.
